We have the main floor of our bright and comfortable home available for nightly & weekly stays. We have one bedroom with a queen size bed, a smaller bedroom with a twin size bed, small bathroom, well stocked kitchen, dining room & a cozy living room that is perfect for 2 -3 people.
We are located in NE Portland in the Piedmont neighborhood, a 10 min drive from the Portland airport, 7 min drive to downtown (easy freeway access) and minutes from the trendy Mississippi & Alberta Arts neighborhoods. We are a 5 min walk to a lovely coffee shop and restaurants. We also have a wonderful grocery store (New Seasons) just one mile from our house. Beautiful Peninsular Park is not too far to enjoy a nice walk through or a picnic on a warm summer night. During the winter months, the park is still lovely to enjoy. Our location is very ideal. We live on a quiet street but we're just a few blocks away from a couple of main roads (which all have public transit) that can take you across town, to other neighborhoods, and to the freeway. We also have a max station that is located one mile from here (next to New Seasons Market).
We will provide a great deal of restaurant & shopping recommendations, general house info, and keys for our guests upon arrival. Also, there will be fresh eggs from our happy hens!
**Please review the House Rules section for additional information on our place. Thanks!

Elsa was the consummate host, greeting us as we arrived and showing us around. Her home is extremely comfortable and she wanted us to feel welcome. She also gave us plenty of recommendations for places to go in the neighborhood. Our stay was restful and relaxing and we would be privileged to stay there again. Thanks, Elsa and family!
Elsa was very thorough and welcoming. She reached out to us prior to our arrival with complete instructions and information and then checked up with us via email to see if we arrived safely and if we needed anything. We never met, but her home is charming and exactly as the photos show. It's a lovely, comfortable home and it was perfect for our two night stay. The neighborhood was beautiful with all the flowering trees welcoming us along with Cosette the Cat who was seated on the front porch. I would love to stay here again!
What a wonderful first Airbnb experience for our family! Elsa made us feel right at home in their comfortable and artistic space. Cool photography, colorful decor, comfortable sofa and beds, space for playing and a welcoming hostess made it a relaxing and enjoyable place to be between our out-and-about town adventures. And the wifi was so helpful as we planned those adventures.
This was definitely a family friendly home! Our daughter loved discovering the toy drawer in the living room, playing in the yard with Elsa's son and meeting their dog and the backyard chickens. More importantly, as a mother herself, Elsa was very relaxed about the realities of having kids in her home (like a few spills on her tablecloth).
The kitchen had plenty of space and the amenities for cooking the times we wanted to eat-in, but Elsa also had wonderful nearby recommendations for when we wanted to go out.
Finally, we really appreciated Elsa's openness about Portland and traveling. I felt very comfortable talking to her and she was always willing to share ideas and experiences. What a wonderful hostess! Thank you Elsa (and family)! Hope we are back in Portland again soon.
What a fantastic stay! Elsa is a really great host and the house is absolutely phenomenal. The house is vibrant with plenty of sunshine and Elsa was extremely helpful.
Communication before we got there was fluid and easy, and the effort put into the preparation for our arrival was much appreciated. Elsa had left documentation recommending places to go and restaurants to try while in Portland, and there was even some bread and Milk in the fridge waiting for us!
I would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Portland. It was a delightful experience and I hope to be back soon.
The house was perfect and very homey and warm feeling. Elsa and Zac met us there , explained everything and shared info about their favorites in the neighborhood. The house was very well equipped with every pot or pan you could possibly need. There was fresh eggs and local coffee in the frig. It was a perfect home base for visiting our three children. We would definitely stay there again.
This beautiful and colorful Victorian home was the perfect place to stay for my first visit to Portland. The place is exactly how it is in the pictures. The only really cozy part of the home was the bathroom, but my friend and I managed. The bed was super comfy and so was the couch. Elsa was very easy to communicate with and she was very accommodating when we arrived. She offered us plenty of places to eat at and she even recommended a brewery to watch the Superbowl at. However, my friend and I decided to stay in and they were nice enough to set up their Apple TV in time for us to watch the game. I would definitely consider staying here again the next time I visit. :)
What a GREAT little escape it was for us to stay at Elsa and Zach's place! The communication before we arrived was seamless. Super friendly folks who were willing to offer as much or little help as we needed. They had lists of, and menus from, local places of interest, most of them walkable (we wanted to stay pedestrian), and they even texted us a favorite local ice cream spot while we were out eating! The listing states that they had cats, and I am allergic to cats, but there was NO evidence of the cats anywhere in the house. Place was spotless, colorful and cozy, and fresh eggs (from their chickens!), butter and bread awaited us in the fridge upon our arrival. Thanks!
Hi, we're Zach and Elsa!
We both love to travel, explore new places, eat good food and chat with new people. We are from Portland and know a lot about the city and different areas of Oregon and southern Washington to explore. We have a happy 4 year old boy named Bennett. He is very busy singing, playing with dragons, and building a city.
We all love the summer months here in Oregon and we spend a great deal of our time outdoors catching some vitamin D, working on our garden, backyard projects, taking day trips around Oregon and enjoying a meal or two outside.
We look forward to meeting you!
