About this listing
We have the main floor of our bright and comfortable home available for nightly & weekly stays. We have one bedroom with a queen size bed, a smaller bedroom with a twin size bed, small bathroom, well stocked kitchen, dining room & a cozy living room that is perfect for 2 -3 people.
We are located in NE Portland in the Piedmont neighborhood, a 10 min drive from the Portland airport, 7 min drive to downtown (easy freeway access) and minutes from the trendy Mississippi & Alberta Arts neighborhoods. We are a 5 min walk to a lovely coffee shop and restaurants. We also have a wonderful grocery store (New Seasons) just one mile from our house. Beautiful Peninsular Park is not too far to enjoy a nice walk through or a picnic on a warm summer night. During the winter months, the park is still lovely to enjoy. Our location is very ideal. We live on a quiet street but we're just a few blocks away from a couple of main roads (which all have public transit) that can take you across town, to other neighborhoods, and to the freeway. We also have a max station that is located one mile from here (next to New Seasons Market).
We will provide a great deal of restaurant & shopping recommendations, general house info, and keys for our guests upon arrival. Also, there will be fresh eggs from our happy hens!
**Please review the House Rules section for additional information on our place. Thanks!
The entire main floor of the house.

Elsa's apartment was exactly as it was described in the listing. It was in a great location (we rented a car and everything was really close by, but I did see that there was some public transportation nearby), and all of the amenities were as expected! The best part is that Elsa was extremely communicative and was thoroughly accommodating. We would love to stay there again!
We were made to feel immediately very welcome by Elsa who was there to greet us. She kindly walked us through all the local amenities and places to visit. Also they live in the flat underneath so were always close by to answer any questions.
The place is great, a nice big kitchen/diner, large living area with massive TV with netflix etc, and a big bedroom with comfy king size bed. Only the bathroom was small, its a walkthrough shower with a toilet added. The small bathroom had no real negative effect on us.
The area is nice, just a 5 min drive to the local supermarket and main freeway and 15min drive to the centre.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend and return next time.
We had a great stay at Elsa's lovely home. She greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave us a quick tour of the home and gave us some recommendations on local spots. It was a very good experience.
Elsa was waiting for us when we arrived from the airport. Gave us a quick tour of the apartment, and was very helpful with local spots for a quick bite to eat.
My partner and I both live in Portland, but we had a friend visiting from overseas and couldn't host her in our current accommodations. Elsa was wonderful in ensuring we felt welcome in her home. The home was very tastefully decorated and Elsa was kind enough to leave some basic necessities in the fridge for our arrival. It was lovely to come and go as we pleased...and very nice for us to have an opportunity to explore a new neighbourhood in Portland.
The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The bathroom is compact and sitting on the toilet can be a bit of a squeeze for people with long legs...but, it is well appointed.
I'm not sure if we'll have another opportunity/need to find a short-term place to stay in Portland, but if we do, we would definitely consider this home.
Elsa was a wonderful host, she met us at the door when we arrived and had plenty of material for finding things to do in both the neighborhood as well as the city as a whole. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. There are plenty of good neighborhood shops and watering holes in walking distance, and many many more just a short drive, bike ride, or a couple of bus stops away. Thank you so much for your hospitality Elsa!
About the Host, Elsa
Hi, we're Zach and Elsa!
We both love to travel, explore new places, eat good food and chat with new people. We are from Portland and know a lot about the city and different areas of Oregon and southern Washington to explore. We have a happy 4 year old boy named Bennett. He is very busy singing, playing with dragons, and building a city.
We all love the summer months here in Oregon and we spend a great deal of our time outdoors catching some vitamin D, working on our garden, backyard projects, taking day trips around Oregon and enjoying a meal or two outside.
We look forward to meeting you!
