Duplex apartment located conveniently in the city centre. We live on the second floor, no elevator unfortunately but we don't think it's that bad! The room being let has a double size bed and even comes with a sink!? :) There's also a makeshift balcony that's nice for chilling out on and watching the water, drinking a cup of coffee or just people watching.
Salthill and the sea is ten minutes from the apartment and eyre square is ten minutes in the other direction!
We have all the standard kitchen utensils. If you're into juicing, we recently bought a juicer you're more than welcome to use. Washer and Dryer is also available for your convenience.
Because we're located behind the Roisin Dubh it can sometimes get a bit loud. However we're not very loud people and we can sleep fine with it but just thought we'd mention it.
We have immersion heating which stores up the heat for the shower- Most times there's enough hot water for anyone to have a shower. If there isn't you just need to flick the booster switch and in about half an hour you should have some nice hot water.
The apartment is located conveniently in City Centre. All shops, amenities and supermarkets are located within walking distance.
Trendy bars are located along the street we live like the Roisin Dubh, Massimo's, The Blue Note, The Salt House and The Bierhaus. There's a lot!
There are also a lot of cool restaurants located on the street like Creole (Cajun food) Rouge (Great french place where you can get a really good steak dinner for 15€ and some tasty appetizers. Might sound too cheap and maybe awful, but trust us its wonderful!), Petit Rouge (Rouge's sister restaurant that is just a appetizer and wine bar). Dela is a Norwegian tapas place that seems to be doing really well.
From eyre square you can get buses to the outskirts of Galway or get transport direct to the airport in Shannon or Dublin
Suppose it's just like any other house- We don't like having to clean up after other people so don't trash it! :D Also we work on weekdays and even though it might get loud outside we definitely don't like it being too loud in the apartment when we have work in the morning.

James was amazingly prompt in replying to all of my messages. In the end he did not have availability on the night I want but arranged another room for me. Andrina (James' girlfriend) met me and was welcoming & very helpful. All in all I could not have asked for more.
We booked James’s room for few days. When it turned out that the room wasn't available, he offered us an entire flat instead. The flat was well-equipped, we had everything we needed for our short stay. It was close to the center and good bars so we didn't mind the change. He and his girlfriend also gave us much advice to know the town better. Nice stay.
The appartment is absolutely in the center. James was very welcoming and recomended us on Galway and our tours in the surrounding. The bed was very comfortable.
James was a wonderful host and incredibly flexible and helpful. The room was fantastic and had this great window viewing area. There was a sink near the bed for brushing our teeth and my gf to remove her makeup, there was also a separate full bath. The bed was so comfortable we overslept our alarm. The area was nice and well protected, felt safe and cozy, would stay here again!!!
The room, clean and with a pleasant view, is perfectly located two steps (two) to the center of Galway. James was very kind and check in/out were extremely easy. There's a parking near the house. Reccomended.
Clean room, well located apartment. We never met James, instead we were welcomed by his girlfriend. She chatted with us when we arrived, asked us what kind of restaurant we were looking for, called to make a reservation for us, and even walked us to the restaurant. The restaurant was indeed a fantastic recommendation. She also made recommendations for pubs for the evening, but I got a bit of a migraine so we ended up staying in. Very welcoming and helpful host. Thank you
Fairly relaxed, easy going and into travelling. I enjoy reading, playing music, cooking, learning about technology.
I live with my girlfriend Andrina. We were both born in New York, I moved to Ireland when I was 13 and she's just moved recently. We both love traveling and trying new things. Andrina is a photographer; fluent in Romanian and a bit of Spanish.
We've both just started to use airbnb and decided to set up our own profile to host and meet new people. Our flat is quite homey and cosy. We love cooking, playing music, and going out.
We look forward to hearing from you!
