About This Listing
Charming and completely upgraded light-filled 1891 victorian appt on a tree-lined street nestled between the mission, castro, haight and duboce triangle.
charming 1891 Victorian with all it's period trims elegantly restored. inside and out!
with a brand new kitchen, bathroom, wood floors...
it's a 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom right on quaint tree-lined Noe street by duboce park.
the bedroom is a little small (8x7ft) with a Full size bed (6 inches narrower than a queen), but the space in general is roomy and feels larger than the 500 sq ft it is, with a large layout for the living/dining area and the kitchen.
great location: few doors from duboce park and the N train subway (which can take you downtown, the ocean or caltrain ...).
few short blocks from the castro and lower haight; restaurants, bars, boutiques...
few blocks from a safeway and of course within a block of a cute corner store.
super cozy furnishings... it's basically victorian on the outside and mid century modern from the inside ;)
If you are looking for a tidy and polished stay within a quaint SF neighborhood, this is the place for you!
I love my neighbors, and i'd like to keep it reasonably quiet for them past 10pm.
I encourage you to try the wonderful wines of CA, but please don'd do so from my stash ;).
On that note, I'd appreciate it if you can use the space for yourself and not to have people over, or parties.. Again, it's because those tend to get noisy/messy...
I think its all obvious stuff really. i'm a nice guy and i think if you are nice too then this will work out brilliantly ;)
Everything about our stay was lovely - Hassan was great with his communication (before, during and after our stay), the apartment was wonderful (and just as pictured) and the location is fantastic (excellent neighbourhood and the local park has an area set aside for dogs which is great for canine lovers) and connectivity to downtown is a matter of steps away from the front door).
The apartment is really close to lots of amenities yet it is a quiet and relaxed haven.
We were super happy staying in Hassan's home and would recommend it to anyone!
Hassan's spot is simply wonderful. The vibe is great, the small touches are lovely, and it's perfectly well appointed. I booked this flat for my mom's visit to SF- she comes from Texas, where everything is BIGGER, but she wanted for nothing. I hung out with her and had tea or breakfast at Hassan's flat a few times and there was plenty of space for us to feel comfortable and dignified. Five stars indeed, I would recommend it to anyone!
Hassan was a terrific host, always easy to communicate with. He made personalised recommendations and ensured we were enjoying our stay. We really appreciated his kindness.
The apartment was as seen in the photos. We loved the apartment.
It was in a good location. We walked to the Golden Gate Bridge, lots of parks and amazing shops.
There were only a few negatives, some of the things in the photos like the fire place, the nespresso and the bath you aren't able to use. There was no plug for the bath. We didn't mind at all about the nespresso as we dont drink coffee just there are photos of these things in the listing. There was also no storage space available. As the bedroom is super small and we were travelling from overseas we had two suitcases with us and they had to live in the lounge room and we found this annoying as it was a longer stay.
We also had a lot of ants in the apartment during our stay. We always took out our rubbish and kept the kitchen clean but they still hung around.
Finally- we would not stay here again due to the bed. (Beds are subjective so some people may love the bed only our opinion) but it was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. Very very hard and very small. I think it must be a custom made size as my feet hung from the end and we were always bumping into each other through the night. The only way for the second guest to get in and out was to climb over the other person.
If you don't mind hard beds than you will enjoy you stay here!!
We stayed for a week at Hassan's flat and had a very good time. The flat was exactly the way it was described and communication with Hassan was always fast and to the point. Our only problem was ourcar. There is no way you can find an overnight parking in that neighbourhood. So, my suggestion, don't even try. We used a parking garage at 16th street & Hoff for $22/day.
Hassan was an awesome host! Communication with him prior to the trip was excellent; he provided us with answers to all of our questions re: the apartment and gave us recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the neighborhood. Hassan also made himself available to us via email if we needed anything during our stay (which we did not).
The apartment was fabulous and clean. The photos were 100% accurate and had everything we needed. He even provided hotel-style toiletries and tea - cute touch! The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood had great restaurants (thanks for the recommendation) and a fun vibe. The quiet street and tasteful decor provided us with the R&R needed after our adventures in the city.
Thanks Hassan - we would gladly stay again!

Gracious host! Immaculate apartment. Great location. I couldn't have found a better place to stay in San Fran.
Hassan's place is absolutely brilliant and so was our stay in SF. It's a very charming little apartment, nicely furnished and very clean. The street and area next to it is quiet and it has lot's of nice Restaurants and Cafes around. Hassan is a very nice and communicative host, which makes it very easy to handle all the information you need. We would definitely come back again!
About the Host, Hassan
i guess i am a nice guy. play lots of soccer and watch lots of operas. oh and i drink lots of wine too ;)
design wise i am all about mid century modern but i also throw in some bauhaus to keep things clean and a conversation piece to keep things interesting. all the while staying true to what goes with the victorian architecture of the house. cozy and clutter free ;)
