Sandymount is a traditional old Irish working Village where you'll find old fashioned bars and restaurants... definitely worth a visit too.
This was our first airbnb stay and I was pleased to find everything was as described and shown in the photos.
It was like visiting a friend to stay for the first time. You are temporary residents in their spare room, and their life goes on in the same house where you are a guest. If you’re happy with that, it should work for you.
The bedroom was large and comfortable, and towels were provided. There are two shared bathrooms available, and the kitchen area is also shared.
The location suited us very well. Extremely quiet, we slept very well. It was only about 10 minutes walk through the park to the coast where there are good walks especially for birdwatchers. The Aviva stadium, and a range of pubs and restaurants in Sandymount were 10-15 minutes away. The bus stop is at the end of the adjoining street.
Norah was a perfect hostess, making sure we had what we liked for breakfast, and generally being helpful and informative, before and during the stay. She ‘went the extra mile’ for example letting us print our return flight boarding passes from her computer. (The wifi is excellent as well). We enjoyed getting to know her a little and discussed a wide range of subjects.
I’d happily stay here again if we needed to be in this area.
The room is amazing, just the same as the pictures you see, clean and warm. Norah is a considerate host, who provided me with a bunch of information about hot spots of tourism and local facilities. It is very convenient to cook if you want to use the kitchen. Thank you very much! Norah!
Norah is a very thoughtful, outgoing host and her house is a very comfy, clean and cosy place. The neighbourhood is very quiet.
Norah is a fantastic host! She is very helpful and it was a warm welcome. I only can recommend her BnB.
I arrived cold and tired - the lovely neighbour let me in (as we had some shuffling on arrival times - which Norah was great about.) The house was thoughtfully toasty warm, i had a cuppa tea, a little nap in the cosy room and everything was perfect!
The house is wonderfully quiet, and not far from the city, I took a cab both times back for convenience and walked to the Royal Dublin Society in the mornings. All easily reachable.
Norah is super friendly, she even drew me a handmade map so I could walk along the river to get to my conference and generally took great care of me and the 2 other guests (also attending the conference that were staying.
Only wish I'd had more time to get to hang out!
Norah is extremely helpful, and an experienced host. Unfortunately I didn't meet her during my stay, but het communication over email and phone was fantastic. I had a very warm and comfortable night sleep in her home.
Norah has a beautiful house, with a great kitchen, at a reasonable distance from city center that is a plus for walking lovers as me. She is a lovely person and my stay at her place was excellent. Recommended!
The room was absolutely gorgeous, quiet and in a great hood close to the beautiful Sandymount beaches. It is also quite convenient to get to the city center via public transport and the coach from the airport drops off nearby. Norah was warm and welcoming and very helpful in giving us tips, directions and suggestions. All around a fabulous stay in Dublin!!
Norah was really friendly, helpful, and accommodating. This was my first time visiting Ireland, and Norah's was the first place I stayed. She had excellent advice about what to do, what to see, and how to get there. She introduced me to the area as well as some of her neighbours. I had a great time, slept well, and have a lovely stay.
Nice neighborhood with good restaurants about a 10 minute walk from Norah's home. Norah was helpful and interesting person to talk to.Room is small but adequate.
