Stay here to see the quintessential small American town! We are happy to share our lovely Main Street with its many fine shops and restaurants. There are several local live performance theaters, and a large shopping mall, as well.
Take BART to San Francisco for all major events, or just for touring. The trip is 40 minutes to the San Francisco waterfront. Or take BART to Oakland, then take the ferry boat ride into San Francisco. Both are fun! We are happy to drive you to BART if needed. It's only about 10 minutes from the house.
We are - literally - less than 10 minutes from the world-renown Livermore Valley Wine Country, with it's wonderful scenery and great wineries. It's nice to come back after a day of wine-tasting, and relax by the pool!
Pleasanton is also the home of the Alameda County Fair Grounds. If your event is being held at the fairgrounds, we are about 12 minutes from there.
The home is non-smoking, but you may smoke on the back deck.
A well-trained and nicely behaved pet is welcome.
There is no TV in the guest room, but you are free to watch in the family room.
Interaction with guests
We love to visit and get to know our guests. We also realize they may want more privacy. We respect both!
Our particular neighborhood is up-scale, and very quiet. Our past guests have all commented on their appreciation of the quiet, especially at night.
We have in-driveway parking. If you want to take BART into SF, or to the Oakland Coliseum,we're happy to drop you off, if you don't have a car!
Other things to note
There is a fun sports bar in town, if that's your pleasure.
Quiet after 10 PM. If coming in late, please keep noise to a minimum. Leave the bathroom in good condition. No smoking in the house. Smoking allowed on the deck. Please be respectful at all times of the hosts and the house.

As corporate wage-slaves for many years, my husband and I are now retired. We like to meet new people, and especially younger folks. It's fun, and keeps life interesting.
I do a lot of volunteer work, and have a one-day-a-month job.
We love to golf (very badly), and do so once or twice a week, if possible. We get to Hawaii as often as possible, and to Nashville, TN to see our granddaughter at least every three months.
