My place is at the center of one of the hippest neighborhoods in NYC. Experience chic and trendy Williamsburg while sojourning in a brand new unit with all the modern amenities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, gym, rooftop, etc.). It's the perfect spot for peace and relaxation.

The Space

The building opened in May 2012, and I was the first tenant to live in the unit. My apartment is a 940 Sq. Ft. two-story townhouse.

I'm renting the entire apartment, which includes a full-size bed, kitchen, dining/work table, and bath/shower, and a private room downstairs that includes two twin beds and a private patio.

The apartment is ideal for young professionals, student travelers, couples, or anyone looking for a short-term stay in NYC. The space can comfortably sleep up to four people.

The best part about the space is the quietude. There is absolutely no city noise pollution, and you get to wake up to the sights and sounds of nature from our backyard common garden.

The building has a common rooftop that has one of the best views of Manhattan. It's an ideal spot for cocktails, lounging in the summer sun, and starting off the night.

Last but not least, the building has its own gym. There are two treadmills, two ellipticals, free weights, and various cable machines.

Guest Access

Guests will get a fob key that will give them 24/hr access to the building, including the gym, rooftop, and outdoor garden.

Shared amenities will be the shower and kitchen.

Interaction with Guests

I live at another apartment down the street, so while I won't be at the unit, you'll probably see me in the neighborhood chatting with neighbors and grabbing a coffee at Toby's!

The Neighborhood

Williamsburg is one of the most popular and fashionable neighborhoods in NYC, and my apartment is located in the heart of it all. I'm just off Bedford Ave on N. 6th St. and there are countless bars, restaurants, and cafes within a 5 min walk in any direction. Some of my favorite spots in the area include Radegast beer hall, The Wythe Hotel, Skinny Dennis, Pies and Thighs, The Meatball Shop, Dos Torros, and Surf Bar.

For the coffee lovers, I'm directly across the street from Toby's Estate, and a two minute walk from Blue Bottle, two of NYC's top-rated coffee shops.

My location is the ideal spot to get a rich NYC experience. I'm the first stop in Brooklyn on the L train, and within minutes you can be in either the East Village, Union Square, or Meatpacking District. There's also a ferry that'll take you to Manhattan via the East River, just a few minutes by foot from my place. The shops across the street, and my neighborhood in general, were recently featured in a NY Times article, "How I Became a Hipster."

Getting around

L train - Bedford Stop - 1 min walk.
J, M Train - Marcy Ave - 15 min walk.

East River Ferry - 3 min walk.

  • We stayed at Josh’s apartment for a whole week and felt very much at home there. The place is modern, clean and spacious even for our family of five. The breathtaking view from the rooftop of Brooklyn is just another extra that makes this place so special.

The location is just perfect, as you are right in the very middle of the booming neighborhood – the part of the city where you can find a wide range of nice shops, restaurants, bars and not to forget: the best coffee (it is just across the street). After the rush of Manhattan, which we experienced during our long sightseeing trips, we were always very happy to return to the cosier and far more laid-back atmosphere of Williamsburg.

Josh is a great host and we got on really well together right from the beginning. There were so many interesting topics to share. Going out for a drink with Josh with his friends or having ‘the best burger’ in town were great experiences, which we truly enjoyed! Staying with him was the perfect way to get to know New York. Thank you, Josh, we are looking forward to welcoming you in Switzerland next summer!

  • Josh is a great host, and staying at his fantastic apartment helped make our trip to NYC a truly incredible experience. The apartment itself is in a fantastic location, nice and clean and spacious. With a roof terrace that has a view to die for. Josh made us feel welcome and we had no problems with our stay whatsoever. A great AirBNB experience all round.

  • Josh and Mark were great hosts. We were on a road trip from Chicago, and we didn't know exactly when we were arriving to NY. They were very accommodating with at the check-in and throughout our whole stay.

Their place is definitely in the center of everything, they also have a great roof top patio with an amazing view of Manhattan. For all the cool coffee shops, shopping, restaurants, and bakeries this is the perfect place to stay in.

    Thanks for everything guys!

  • Couldn't have asked for a better location and nicer host. The rooftop is a big bonus - the kids loved it - beautiful view of the city to be enjoyed with a cup of coffee and excellent bagels from around the corner.

  • We spent the best time with Joshua and his roommate Mark. They are very kind and helpful hosts and we had a great time together. The apartment is really nice, situated in the perfect location either for staying in Williamsburg or going to Manhattan. The subway to go to Manhattan is just 1 minute walk from the house and there are lots of nice restaurants, supermarkets and clubs nearby. I am absolutely satisfied about my stay at Joshua's and the next time I;ll go to Nyc I will definitely stay at their place!

  • Josh was an amazing host! He was really friendly, and aswered all our queries and made sure that we had a comfortable stay. He's a really cool guy, and my friends and I were really fortunate to meet him. There's a ton of food (And coffee and pubs/bars) around, and so you'll be spoilt for choice. The apartment is a gem to stay in, and would gladly stay there again when I'm in Brooklyn!
