Vacationers renting scooters can drive to all the South Shore beaches in about 15 minutes during the day, and walk to all the bars and restaurants in the evening in about 10 minutes.
The kitchenette includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, wine glasses and all needed plates and cutlery. If you are arriving late, just ask and we'll be happy to get a few grocery essentials in for you. The grocery and liquor stores are less than 200 meters around the corner and are open till 7pm most evenings. If you need a load of laundry done, please just ask. We don't have a separate washer and dryer for guest use but we're happy to do a load for you.
Sorry, strict limit of 2 people only. Transportation from the airport can be arranged. Our guests also receive a 20% discount on scooter rentals.
By request, we will bend the minimum stay rule. We will accept bookings for 1 to 3 nights at a rate of $170.00 per night. If you wish to book less than 4 nights, just ask and I'll create the "special offer" for you.

Interaction with Guests
My wife and I live here with our daughter. One of us will be here to meet you upon arrival and answer any questions you might have.
We love to meet and chat with our guests. It's your vacation and we're happy to interact to what ever level you desire. We've had everything from just a quick hello, to basically having family living with us. When the chemistry is right, we've made some very long lasting friendships. Again, this is YOUR vacation, and we will always respect your privacy.
Rosemont Ave is considered a very prestigious neighborhood. Large homes and lots on the edge of town has made this a very desirable destination for frequent business guests as well as tourists looking to be close to the amenities of town.
I never need an excuse for a cup of tea if I'm home during the day or perhaps a glass of wine after 5. Please feel free to come see us and let us know how we can make your vacation even better.
As mentioned, walking is easy from here. The islands main public transportation hub is a 10 minute walk. For those who want to rent a scooter, we have made an arrangements with Smatts Scooters to offer a 20% discount to our guests.
Other Things to Note
Tell us what you'd like to do and we'll try our best to make it happen.
As this apartment is part of our home, please keep the noise down after 9pm; we'll try to do the same.
The kitchenette is perfect for heating up a snack in the microwave, toasting a morning bagel, or making a cup of coffee or tea. However, there is no hotplate, hob, or burner (depending on what you call (email hidden) is not permitted. There are however, great restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Ascots, an amazing restaurant, has been featured on Food Network and is less than 300 feet away.
Please ensure windows and door are closed and locked when you leave. As Bermuda has some of the most expensive electricity in the world, please make sure lights and air conditioning are turned off when you are not in. Due to the stone construction of the house, even in the hottest day of summer, the room will stay cool if the windows and blinds are closed and the AC turned off.
If you need to do a load of laundry, please just ask and we'd be happy to do a wash/dry for $10.00 per load.
Beach towels are in the room (the red ones). Please do not take the white towels to the beach. There is a fresh water hose beside the drive way. If you've been to the beach, please hose off shoes, feet and other sandy bits. Sand is very hard on the flooring.
Instructions for the WiFI access are on the table in the room.
Smoking; We have no issues with smoking, just not in the room. This includes electronic smokes. Smoking is allowed up on the driveway away from the house. I'm happy to put out an ash tray and even a patio chair for those who wish.
Regarding flight issues: Since our experience with Sandy, we've come up with some policies regarding flight delays/cancellations due to weather and other unforeseen conditions. If your flight is canceled and you cant get out; no problem. Chances are the next guest wasn't able to arrive so there is no issue; you are welcome to stay. We will only charge $25.00 per night which basically covers expenses. We have no intention on profiting on someones misfortune! Come and see us and we'll assist in any way to get your travel sorted. In the unlikely event, that you cant get out and the next guest arrives; we will honor the reservation for the new guest. In order to accommodate the departing guest, we will make every humanly possible effort to find alternative accommodation. There are properties within 200 yards from here that should be able to assist. No one will be left without (email hidden) may not be 5 star!
Anyhow, I just wanted to address the issue and HOPE it doesn't happen often!
Sue and Chris are the perfect hosts for a home away from home. Your stay is with friends. The comfortable room or small suite is perfectly designed, with a private entrance. Located in a lovely area of Hamilton, it is within an easy walking distance to the central bus stop or the ferries, and to the main area of Hamilton shops and restaurants. Bob the dog, with great personality, is a plus if you like dogs, but you never hear him, so he is not a bother if you don't care for dogs. Lovely location when visiting Bermuda and using Airbnb. Highly recommended!
Chris was waiting at the studio when we arrived making final touches on the place. It was neat and clean with working appliances, toiletries and linens as needed. It is also just a really nice studio. The location was a 10 minute walk to Town as promised where we were able to get the bus to travel around the island. I am from Bermuda so I had plenty of places to go and people to see, but Chris was able to make a couple of good recommendations. I can also personally recommend one of the drivers that Chris works with, Ken. He was punctual and personable.
The price for what you get renting from Chris and Susan is outstanding. An excellent value. I would absolutely stay here again.
Quiet, private and close to town. The apartment is perfected furnished, spotless with up-to-date fixtures, appliances and plumbing (sometimes a challenge in Bermuda). I recommend it highly.
Chris and Susan were the perfect hosts! They made sure that all our needs were met and they are the friendliest Airbnb I've stayed in. From arranging transportation to and from the airport and scooters to making sure we knew where to get food and wine for our stay. If I ever go back to Bermuda I'm planning my trip around the availability of their place. The room was a perfect size for two people and there's everything you need in the kitchenette. They have a rainwater reserve so the water is clean and drinkable and a private entrance so you don't disturb the family when you come home at night. The bed is comfortable and it's a quiet area even though you're in the heart of Hamilton. We did use scooters while we were there but you could walk to everything you need, even the bus terminal, from the house. A grocery store is around the corner as well as a good pub. We had a great stay in Bermuda and it had a lot to do with the welcome and care we received from this family. As a side note I fell in love with their dog, Bob. He's the best.
Chris and Susan were both very timely in answering emails. Susan was very welcoming when we arrived and me met Chris the following day. He gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant, The Mad Hatter. The apartment is just a short walk to Hamilton yet in a quiet neighborhood setting. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were there for the Bermuda half marathon and were within walking distance of start/finish line of event.
Once again, we had a fabulous time in Bermuda, and Chris & Susan (not to forget Olivia & Bob!) were great hosts. Despite just coming off the wreckage of a hurricane, we managed to have a great time. The location of the apartment can't be beat for situations like that. Since we didn't have great beach days, we spent a lot of our time walking around Hamilton - visiting shops, restaurants, etc. The apartment was clean & comfortable, and we will certainly be back again!
Susan and I are both business owners. Susan is involved with high-end office interiors and I have network infrastructure company. We love to travel (living on a small island it's no wonder). Susan's family dates back to the 1600's here in Bermuda and she is very knowledgeable about the island and it's history. I'm from Canada and have only been here 18 years.
We love to show off the island and are happy to help guests have a wonderful time. It's your vacation, you tell us what YOU want.....
