The perfect edge of town apartment for two. For those who prefer to walk, this is the perfect spot with restaurants and shops within close proximity. Less than a 10 min walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars along Front Street in Hamilton.
June 2017: We have just completed a major renovation which has added two more studio apartments and pool and patio deck. This means with a total of 3 studios, we have accommodation for up to 6 guests.
**NOTE: We have just completed a major renovation including a completely redone bathroom, all new plumbing fixtures, kitchenette, new flooring all throughout and a fresh coat of paint. Check out the new pictures *****
Just a five minute walk from the center of town is our home and guest apartment. The apartment has a private entrance leading to a main bedroom with an adjacent kitchenette, and en-suite bath. Queen size bed. Within the closet is everything else you might need such as an iron, hair dryer, lots of towels, soaps, a cooler bag, beach mats and beach towels. The large bedroom has a plasma TV, DVD, AC and Wifi. In the winter, linens include a down comforter. In the summer the large windows, ceiling fan and air-conditioning will provide cool relief. Perfect for the business traveler or vacation seeker looking for something a bit different.
If you are visiting for sporting events, we are a 7 minute walk to the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, and a 5 minute scooter ride to the National Stadium for World Rugby Classic.
Vacationers renting scooters can drive to all the South Shore beaches in about 15 minutes during the day, and walk to all the bars and restaurants in the evening in about 10 minutes.
The kitchenette includes a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, wine glasses and all needed plates and cutlery. If you are arriving late, just ask and we'll be happy to get a few grocery essentials in for you. The grocery and liquor stores are less than 200 meters around the corner and are open till 7pm most evenings. If you need a load of laundry done, please just ask. We don't have a separate washer and dryer for guest use but we're happy to do a load for you.
Sorry, strict limit of 2 people only. Transportation from the airport can be arranged. Our guests also receive a 20% discount on scooter rentals.
By request, we will bend the minimum stay rule. We will accept bookings for 1 to 3 nights at a rate of $170.00 per night. If you wish to book less than 4 nights, just ask and I'll create the "special offer" for you.
Guests have their own private entrance, en-suite bathroom, private kitchenette, Wifi, local phone, cable TV, laundry service, taxi calls, and all the dog toys you care to play with.
Interaction with guests
My wife and I live here with our daughter. One of us will be here to meet you upon arrival and answer any questions you might have.
We love to meet and chat with our guests. It's your vacation and we're happy to interact to what ever level you desire. We've had everything from just a quick hello, to basically having family living with us. When the chemistry is right, we've made some very long lasting friendships. Again, this is YOUR vacation, and we will always respect your privacy.
Other things to note
Tell us what you'd like to do and we'll try our best to make it happen.
As this apartment is part of our home, please keep the noise down after 9pm; we'll try to do the same.
The kitchenette is perfect for heating up a snack in the microwave, toasting a morning bagel, or making a cup of coffee or tea. However, there is no hotplate, hob, or burner (depending on what you call it at home). Cooking is not permitted. There are however, great restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Ascots, an amazing restaurant, has been featured on Food Network and is less than 300 feet away.
Please ensure windows and door are closed and locked when you leave. As Bermuda has some of the most expensive electricity in the world, please make sure lights and air conditioning are turned off when you are not in. Due to the stone construction of the house, even in the hottest day of summer, the room will stay cool if the windows and blinds are closed and the AC turned off.
If you need to do a load of laundry, please just ask and we'd be happy to do a wash/dry for $10.00 per load.
Beach towels are in the room (the red ones). Please do not take the white towels to the beach. There is a fresh water hose beside the drive way. If you've been to the beach, please hose off shoes, feet and other sandy bits. Sand is very hard on the flooring.
Instructions for the WiFI access are on the table in the room.
Smoking; We have no issues with smoking, just not in the room. This includes electronic smokes. Smoking is allowed ONLY on the patio with the umbrella at the front of the house.
Regarding flight issues: Since our experience with Sandy, we've come up with some policies regarding flight delays/cancellations due to weather and other unforeseen conditions. If your flight is canceled and you cant get out; no problem. Chances are the next guest wasn't able to arrive so there is no issue; you are welcome to stay. We will only charge $25.00 per night which basically covers expenses. We have no intention on profiting on someones misfortune! Come and see us and we'll assist in any way to get your travel sorted. In the unlikely event, that you cant get out and the next guest arrives; we will honor the reservation for the new guest. In order to accommodate the departing guest, we will make every humanly possible effort to find alternative accommodation. There are properties within 200 yards from here that should be able to assist. No one will be left without (URL HIDDEN) may not be 5 star!
Anyhow, I just wanted to address the issue and HOPE it doesn't happen often!

Susan and I are both business owners. Susan is involved with high-end office interiors and I have network infrastructure company. We love to travel (living on a small island it's no wonder). Susan's family dates back to the 1600's here in Bermuda and she is very knowledgeable about the island and it's history. I'm from Canada and have only been here 18 years.
We love to show off the island and are happy to help guests have a wonderful time. It's your vacation, you tell us what YOU want.....
