Casa do Centenário
Traditional townhouse with garden in the heart of Ferragudo; a picturesque fishermen’s village. Recently renovated, with open space living room, well equipped kitchen (be careful, the knives are sharp!), quality appliances and tasteful decoration.
Located on a street with stairs, 20 steps up from the road.
You will be in the middle of a lively village, close to the main square with many restaurants, with your own outdoor space to enjoy the Algarve sun.
The space
** Adjacent to the house is a tiny house with its patio, this is where we stay when we are in town. So chances are you’ll meet us but we’re quite friendly! **
You will enter the property from the stairs through a blue gate, walk through the garden to get to the house. The front door opens into the living area with comfy sofa and dining area. A kitchen island divides the space toward the kitchen. During renovation we kept as many original elements as possible, like the kitchen cabinets and also the marble stairs to the first floor. On the first floor are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed (160 cm x 200), and one with a bunk bed. The bathroom with shower, toilet and basin is on the same floor.
New airconditioning units are installed in both bedrooms and the living room.
Fast internet keeps you connected. Television with internet connection and streaming capability and MEObox for channels is available.
Please note: No oven nor micro wave oven.
Non-accessible areas:
- A storage area in the kitchen where we keep utilities.
- The roof and its staircase, which is used for storage of watersports equipment and seasonal outdoor furniture.
Ferragudo is located where the Arade river meets the Atlantic ocean. It sits along the river and against a hill, and has many small streets and stairs.
Praia Angrinha beach on the river side is at 5 minutes walking and Praia Grande beach on the ocean is at 10 minutes walking.
Ferragudo is the perfect, central base for exploring the Algarve.

The house shares the entrance from the street with the tiny house next to it. You may meet us as we live in this tiny house when we’re in town.
The code for the keybox for self check-in will be shared when you book.
Other things to note
We value the relationships with our neighbours. Please be respectful and limit noise levels, especially during quiet hours.
Faro airport is 65 km or a 50-minute drive away.
Portimão train station is a 5-minute drive away.
Uber and Bolt are available in the area.
Free parking spaces are available at the top of the stairs.
