  • Our first trip to Madison and first stay in an Airbnb was a fantastic experience, thanks to Som! The room was clean, quiet and met the needs of me and my girlfriend, as we visited town for a show at the Majestic Theatre. We were a short walk away from the Capital, and in what seemed to be a safe neighborhood. Som exceeded my expectations as a host, and I'd definitely keep him in mind for future trips to Madison.

  • I just moved to Madison and was looking for a short term place as I got my bearings of the city, and I could not have chosen a better way to settle in. Som was a wonderful host, and was helpful in getting me settled in with his knowledge of the city and his experience with international guests. The location is terrific and very walkable to the square and Willy street. The room itself was clean, quiet and cozy. I would highly recommend Som's place for visitors to Madison.

  • Som is a very gracious host! His home is beautiful and comfortable, and he welcomes you to the entire house. His place is an easy walk to downtown, making it great if you're interested in visiting a Madison restaurant. This was my first Airbnb reservation, and Som's efforts made it a very positive experience.

  • The accommodations were perfect for our needs. We stayed in a clean, comfortable room with a nice bathroom off to the side of the room. Great location within reach of lots of restaurants and a reasonable walk to the capital square. Som is a great host and was available to help with our questions when needed. We recommend this accommodation and will stay there again!

  • som was a great host. very friendly, thoughtful, accommodating, and generally a very pleasant person to be with. i came in during an unseasonably cold week and he was kind enough to lend me a pair of his gloves for my stay.

the room was very comfortable. everything was just the way one would want it, a nice comfortable bed, ample room, a private bath. the kitchen had everything i needed for my week-long stay. in general, i was able to feel very much at home.

the location was very convenient. willy street and its restaurants and the coop are just a few blocks away, the capitol isn't too far either, the airport is a short ride, and the place is very close to bus lines that can take you down to campus and further. the house is in quiet neighbourhood.

I've lived in Madison for over 10 years now and absolutely love it. Madison is the only city in the world built on an ishtmus (the strip of land between two lakes), and I'm fortunate enough to live on that isthmus. By profession I am a project manager and business analyst. I've spent the last 6 years helping to design and implement IT systems projects for insurance companies around Madison. I recently received my MBA from the UW-Madison. In my personal time I love play league volleyball, explore Madison's amazing restaurant scene, and to volunteer with my local Rotary club. My dog Shelby has been my companion for nearly 10 years now. She was a handful as a puppy, but has grown into a gentle and calm old girl. I walk several miles a day with her rain or shine, and I love that she keeps me active.
