  • Our first experience with airbnb and it. Could not have been better. Our location was great, our hostess warm and friendly, the apartment was designer level furnished!, the restaurant she recommended were perfect. All in all, a most rewarding stay. It was really nice to be able to do a wash, relax in the living room....everything!!

  • My friend and I were very concerned about our home base for our 8 day trip to Greece. Hotels were either too expensive and hostels werent as great of an option for a multiplicity of reasons which we were so happily surprised by upon our arrival to Maggie's lovely apartment. Not only was everything as beautiful as shown in the pictures, but the hostess is just as kind. Maggie was there the second we arrived to show us around and not only around the apartment, but stayed a bit longer to answer any general concerns, questions or ideas for our trip in general. To say she's an incredible hostess and her apartment was beautiful would be selling them both short - thanks to Maggie our trip as a whole was perfect.

  • Our stay in Maggie's apartment was a wonderful introduction to our Greek holiday.
Maggie cares passionately that you enjoy an authentic Athenian experience. Her personal guide to Athens was full of excellent recommendations and local insight you do not find in your typical guidebook; the new up and coming areas, the fantastic local bakery, places to pick up local herbs. She also took care of the small details, booking taxis and arranging luggage storage so we could enjoy our time.

The apartment itself was immaculate; elegantly furnished, spacious and with all the mod-cons for the modern traveller. Maggie left us bottled water in the fridge, olives from her farm and cakes for breakfast. Delicious!!

The apartment is ideally located just 50m from unobstructed views of the Acropolis but the apartment is on a side street and is so peaceful! The area is full of great authentic eateries and yet in the middle of it all.

  • Maggie was a terrific host and we could not be happier with our stay. Maggie thought of everything to make her quests comfortable, from a fully stocked kitchen, to treats, to maps and itineraries of where to go and what to see. She greeted us upon our arrival and walked us through everything and gave her personal tips and recommendations. She even helped guide us on what islands to visit and brought ferry schedules and arranged car transportation to the airport for us.

There was a time change the night that we were leaving and she texted us to warn us- without that text it would have been bad news to catch the flight in time.

Maggies place is beautiful, clean and VERY CLOSE to everything in Athens- we walked all over and it was nice being so central. For being so central- it is very quiet and you cant believe you are in the heart of everything.

Maggie had great communication and we are so happy to have stayed at her place during our visit. I would recommend staying here 100% and if we come back we will be with Maggie again!

  • Maggie's apartment is absolutely wonderful - beautiful, quiet, comfortable, perfectly located, and equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay here and appreciated all the extra welcoming touches -- supplies in the kitchen, excellent restaurant and other tourist tips. And Maggie was very willing to help out in any way. Thanks so much, Maggie -- we would love to come back!

  • I can only echo what all the other reviewers have said. It's hard to imagine a better holiday apartment: an incredibly helpful and friendly hostess who's thought of everything you could possibly need (and more),fantastic central location almost next door to the metro and the Acropolis Museum, and a beautifully decorated and comfortable apartment.

  • Maggie is definitely the best host I have ever met. She is very friendly and helpful and provided many good suggestions and useful tips. She even helped us booked our hotel at Paros, and our trip would never have been such great without her! Maggie's apartment is neat and tidy and gave us a very comfortable stay.

  • The apartment is big, comfortable, and magnificent, located in a very stylish building in the best area of Athens, only a few steps away of the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum. The street is lovely and extremely safe, quiet and yet very close to a pedestrian street full with restaurants and cafe. I could not have thought of anywhere better to spend my days in Athens! The place itself has absolutely everything you need for your stay. It's fully equipped (from DVDs to umbrellas, from tourist books to wet cloth hangers!). And, as if this were not enough, the host is the best you can have. Maggie is ALWAYS available, she takes the best care of her guests and is very interested in asking if something else is needed. The best host ever! She even left me some Greek specialties when I arrived! A completely thoughtful person… So the experience was top fantastic! This apartment is a must if you come to wonderful Athens!

  • This was the most comfortable vacation stay I've ever had.

The location is ideal, especially if you're visiting Athens for the first time. It was also great for me that I usually go out in the center, when I'm there. It's literally 2 minutes walk from the Acropolis metro station and not more than 8 minutes to the Acropolis museum entrance. It's next to the pedestrian road that runs at the front of the acropolis rock, which, because of the Acropoplis, I find one of the most beautiful pedestrianized roads in Europe.

The apartment is fantastic. It's in an 1930's block of flats, but it's freshly painted with the kitchen and bathroom being entirely new. That is the best combination, as it has the high ceilings of older buildings but also everything looks new. The rooms are quite spacious and very nicely furnished. More importantly, it was spotlessly clean.

Maggie was an amazing host. She had amazing home made traditional Greek Christmas sweets and home made marmalade waiting for us in the flat, as well as a bottle of very nice Greek wine! She was very polite with us and both proactively asked whether we need anything and was responding to our messages timely through airbnb. She has even assembled a list of events happening in December in Athens. There's no chance you can find anything close to this kind of service in any hotel. Definitely not anyone that enjoys hosting people as much.

This was my first experience with an airbnb booking and I'm going to use the service whenever I have the chance when I travel. As for Athens that I travel to at least once a year, I will always check if Maggie's flat is available first before considering anything else.

If you're thinking of booking it, just go for it. It's just amazing.

  • I can't say enough about Maggie and our stay at her wonderful Greece apartment. Before we even left for Greece, she provided us with a wealth of information including, restaurants, taverns and attractions. She stayed up late waiting and worrying about us when our flight arrived late and took time away from her own Christmas holiday to assist us with locating our lost luggage. We were welcomed with home made Christmas cookies and a small decorated Christmas tree. There was a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Maggie truly seems to have thought of everything. The apartment is well situated across from a small grocery store and within walking distance to all major attractions. It is a beautiful and spotless apartment, where we felt VERY much at home :-) I would highly recommend staying here for your stay in Greece!

I am Greek/Italian with two children spending lots of time between my two countries. I am a restaurant critic and therefore I like cooking, gardening, sailing around the islands and reading lots of books. Most of all I love hosting people, make them feel at home even if far away from their homes.
