Its a very special place and a chance to remember what life's really all about. Its like a pause for thought and really revitalizing at the same time!
Guests are expected to relax and enjoy a hidden gem of nature here.
We had a great evening with Frances. On arrival we were offered a cup of tea and accompanied her for a walk with her dogs. Frances provided a brilliant vegan breakfast. We had some nice conversations about different things. All in all we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay.
Endroit très calme, au milieu de la nature et des animaux, un peu loin cependant des restaurants.
Hôtesse très accueillante, très ouverte et agréable.
We spent a week with Franc and it was brilliant. We couldn't have asked for more, we were made feel really welcome and right at home. It was with work that brought us here and just wanted somewhere we could relax and have down time and the 5 of us really enjoyed ourselves. There's something really special about this house and can't wait to go back. Next time there will be no work either!! Thank you for your great hospitality and see you again soon!!
Beautiful lady beautiful animals and fantastic conversation about all things healing/spiritual/animals/writing/painting/lovely. I really hope we will meet Frances again one day. One in a million. Xx
Fran home is located in a wonderful countryside (between Kilkenny and Paulstown) and the home itself is incredible! The room was spacious and clean. Fran has been a perfect host from the first contact, so kind and helpful to us! We had a perfect breakfast talking a lot with her and also playing guitar songs...a true gift for the end of our journey!
Frances is a kind, loving, wonderful person. See was always happy and interested. Unfortunately, we can not give a rave review. Her home needs a good cleaning, and some fresh paint. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best), her home would be a 2.
I am so sorry you had that experience here - the sort of experience that makes you write 3 whole sentences on a public review and even make up your own scale, (possibly unnecessarily?) to rate Harmony Hall at the very bottom! Not surprisingly, I have had no more booking enquiries since you posted it, so there probably won't be money to spare for doing the painting that you suggested but I have dived into the communal areas for a serious scrub. For those guests that are already booked and are now dreading it, even though there's lots of good reviews including cleanliness and just this one clanger, can I take this opportunity to add that the sheets, towels, rooms and bathroom are always clean and the rural nature of the place is both its beauty and its downfall, downstairs. Just in case its relevant to your future hosts, if they have any pets they value, maybe hunting deer is not that lovely on your part. So maybe I'd tend more towards the rustic and you might tend more towards the barbaric. Hopefully both are okay, in modest amounts. So, onward and upward! All the best, Frances
