The space
Cook Forest State Park is known for its beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. Staying in a cozy cabin with modern amenities like a full kitchen and comfortable living room help provide the balance between comfort and enjoying the outdoors. Being just two miles from canoeing, kayaking, tubing, hiking, and fishing adds to the appeal, making it easy to enjoy outdoor activities. The cabin is 17 miles from Marienville ATV trails. Whether you're looking to relax or explore, this cabin is a perfect base for your vacation.

The space

Bedroom 1: Queen bed
Bedroom 2: 2 Queen beds, there is not a door for this room as it is the loft.
Open Area off of dining area has 2 twin beds. There is not a door for this room, just curtains to pull closed.

Please note that this cabin is for a maximum of 7 guests. 6 guests would be more comfortable as there is one bathroom.

INDOOR SPACE: Modern interior with open vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. With a TV, comfortable couch, Wi-Fi, Roku, and board games, you have plenty of entertainment options for downtime. It's a great way to balance the outdoor activities with some indoor leisure time.

OUTDOOR SURROUNDINGS: Forested landscape with a private fire pit, hammock, surrounding forest views, charcoal grill. Back deck overlooks ravine where wildlife can be spotted getting a drink.

KITCHEN: Includes drip coffeemaker, tea kettle, K-cup, cooking utensils, eating utensils, plates, bowls, cups, and dish soap.

GENERAL: Linens & towels are provided, hand soap is provided

PARKING: Gravel driveway that fits a maximum of 6 vehicles.

Important to note:
Must climb ladder steps to get to the loft as shown in pictures. Those that are very young or have limited mobility may not be able to access the loft.

If visiting in winter, it’s best to have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. The road is plowed when there is snow.

We are family oriented and do not allow parties. 1 dog is welcome, but should be leashed while outside to protect wildlife and neighbors. Additionally, if left inside alone, your dog should be crated to avoid potential property damage. We do have a crate that can be set up before arrival if we are notified at least 3 days before.

This property has 1 exterior security camera overlooking the front of the house. Camera is disarmed at guest check in, and then turned back on at checkout.

The shed in the parking area is kept locked and not accessible to guests.

Guest access
Guests should have a AWD or 4WD vehicle to access the property during snow season.

Other things to note
Bedding, towels, pots, pans, utensils, and dishes are provided.

We have drinkable well water at the property but if you don't like the taste of well water, you'll probably want to bring bottles of water for drinking.

If bringing a pet, please be aware that failing to follow the established rules or leaving an excessive amount of pet hair will result in an additional cleaning fee. This fee will vary based on the time required to properly clean the space. Please pick up after your pet outside with the provided bags. Pets are not allowed on furniture in the cabin.

Please bring your own comfortable lawn chair if you'd like. There are benches around the firepit, on the front porch, and chairs at the table on the back deck.

Wifi is provided, but cannot be 100% guaranteed. If planning to work from home during your stay, please consider the possibility service may go out during inclement weather.
