Bowness and Windermere are very popular Lake District destinations and there are no shortage of places to eat!
Windermere is a delightful village lying at the heart of the Lake District National Park and to many is the essence of Cumbria - The Lake District. The village owes much to the coming of the Kendal to Windermere Railway in 1847 which precipitated much of the lovely Victorian architecture which was built for the rapid increase in tourist visitors brought by the railway. Surrounded by watchful fells, Lake Windermere - England's longest lake - is only a 15 minute stroll away at Bowness Bay, home to The Beatrix Potter Museum and where the lake steamers plough the length of the lake giving visitors an outstanding view of this glorious landscape. To the north lies the honeypot villages of Ambleside and onto Grasmere, much loved by Lakeland poet William Wordsworth with its famous gingerbread shop and annual sports. All this and so much more bring thousands of tourists each year to this glorious corner of England.

Everything is so perfect. Breakfast, room preparing and traveling guide. They are very friendly and kind to us and their children are very lovely! Highly recommended.
rob and Becky are very friendly and warm. They helped us making our journey plan by giving helpful advice and maps, guide books. We also like the room we stayed, very clean and tidy, my boyfriend likes the carpet very much, just like staying at home. P.S, the food is excellent, especially the toast! We really enjoyed the trip. Thanks!
Rob and Becky are so nice and just like friends，the room is clean and tidy，the neighbourhood is quite and beautiful. The location is very close to bus and train station. Definitly recommending to others. Especially the two kids are so adorable，and I already started to miss them.
We had a great time in Windermere, the bed and breakfast was really good, the room was private and comfortable, the house is magnificent and the location really good in the centre of Windermere, just 10 minutes from the train station. we can really recommend the B&B of Rob and Becky.
Our stay with Rob and Becky was great. The room was very tidy and breakfasts were great. The location is ideal as everything is within walking distance including Bowness. I would recommend a stay here
My husband and I booked a day before we left for Windemere, not knowing what to expect. Rob and Beckys place was absolutely fantastic and we had a wonderful time! The room they provided us was comfortable, clean and private. Their two children were a joy to be around and they made us feel like part of the family! Rob kindly suggested a restaurant in town to have dinner and much to our delight, we had a delicious meal. The breakfast Rob and Becky provided for us in the morning was top notch as well. We would most certainly stay here again and recommend it to anyone else looking for accommodation in the area.
it was a good time and perfect breakfasts. Very close to the lake and bus station.
This is about us....We moved to the Lake District over 10 years ago for the great out doors. We are keen hikers, campers and canoeists and Rob also does a bit of fell running. We have 2 children under 6 years old.
Before having children we have travelled to many countries including : USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Nepal, Hong Kong, Egypt and many countries in Europe.
Becky is a coeliac so can cater for a gluten free diet.
We are very friendly, relaxed hosts and welcome you to our home.
