About this listing

The space

The Purple Petite is a small but stylish room in a 165 sq meter apartment, in the very center of Barcelona.

The room has a double bed with a super comfortable 4-star/1200€ BoConcept mattress, a foldable table and 2 chairs.

This room is perfect for those who seek a simple - yet high quality - bedroom, cleanliness and a quiet place to enjoy and relax.

Why this room in this apartment?
Location, location and design furniture!!!
This spacious 160 sq meter (525 ft) Modernist apartment is located on the 4th floor (accessible by elevator) in the heart of Barcelona.
Everything that you would need for a great visit is right downstairs from your safe and comfortable ‘local home’.

You will experience endless shopping, dining, entertainment and culture within a 1 to 5 minute walk from the apartment building. Literally around the corner: famous shopping streets like Paseo de Gracia & Rambla de Catalunya, the 2 famous Gaudi houses (Casa Batlló & La Pedrera), many fabulous restaurants and trendy nightlife venues, the airport-bus-stop (Plaza Catalunya), the tourist bus stop (hop on hop off) and the metro that takes you to the beach within 10 minutes! I honestly could not find a better location.

The entire apartment has just been freshly painted and decorated with exclusive Scandinavian DESIGN furniture. No IKEA ;)

The ever-clean apartment has a full / separate kitchen, two separate bathroom, central heating, air conditioning and sufficient storage places for your convenience. Fresh clean linens and towels are provided as a courtesy.

The apartment contains free high speed Wireless Internet access. The kitchen can be used for preparing breakfast and takeaway lunches. Use of kitchen to prepare home cooked dinners, upon request.

I want your stay at the apartment to be of the highest standard, and that your visit to Barcelona will be a joyous and most memorable one. I’d be happy to provide you with suggestions and answers to the questions you might have.

Guest access

The kitchen is shared and may be used by all guests during the time of their stay to prepare breakfast/lunch. In case you would like to prepare dinner as well during your stay, please let me know.

The apartment has two bathrooms, one with shower and another one with bath tub. Please note that none of the rooms have a private bathroom attached to it, so both bathrooms are shared (and cleaned daily).

Interaction with guests

I will be present at the moment guests check in, as I do not live at the apartment myself. In general, I stop by the apartment every day to check if everything's alright and to answer any question guests might have. If I am not around, you can always reach me on my cell phone or through Airbnb.

I have created a short guide with tips and tricks, which can be found in each room. But in case you have any specific question, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Other things to note

Please note that check-ins after 20:00pm have a surcharge of 20 euros and those after 22:00pm have a surcharge of 40 euros, which is paid in cash upon arrival.

Vincent is a really pleasant host, made us feel like at home from the start. Had no troubles with the internet. In my opinion it is a good place for a short stay and a great place if you are looking for a good central location.

Vincent was very helpful when we arrived. The room is noisy if you open the window, but a fan is provided in the room and the flat is in great location so would clearly recommend for staying there a few days when you are in Barcelona.

Excellent location of this apartment and very warm welcoming - Vincent, a travel bird, speaks a couple of languages and made us feel comfortable. Neighbourhood is great - just next to Paseg de Gracia, the Barcelonian Champs Elysées; 5 min by foot from Casa Batlo and 10 from Casa Milo...Apartment very clean, just Asian people in other rooms were a bit messy in bathrooms, otherwise all good! The smallest room we got was ok because not on the street, so no noise, the bed - very confortable!

It is an amazing place with an enthusiastic host. We were very satisfied Vincent and the location. The location is very convenience which is close to Les Rambles, Passeig de Gràcia which you can go for shopping by walking, and also close to Sagrada Família, Casa Milà and Casa Amatller. You can easily reach these places either by walking or subway. There are lots of local restaurants nearby his house. Highly recommend!!! We had great time there.

Vincent was great, being already there when I arrived and giving me a nice orientation of the city as well. His tip of buying the T10 for the subway was helpful as well. The apartment location was fantastic and very convenient to walking nearly everywhere, and there's a few different subway stations and lines all nearby, not to mention some of the sights. The retro elevator was a lifesaver. The room is clean and cosy, and as I was the only one staying for 2 of the nights, and with only another couple on my last night, I have no issues sharing the 2 bathrooms available.

I believe the most important thing you need to know about me is that I treat my guests the way I like to be treated: as friends, respecting privacy but always ready to help out!

I am a life-enjoying traveler and have visited over more than 43 countries (both budget and high-end). My favorite travel destinations are Cuba and Asia in general. I have been living in Barcelona for 13 years so I'm full of 'tips & tricks'.

I like art, dining, photography, martial arts, shopping and a good night out, all of which can be found close to our apartment.

I have been living in Spain (Madrid/Barcelona) for 14 years (ex-expat) and I really enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle you can find in Barcelona.
