Interaction with Guests
We can offer you as much privacy as you wish...or you can join us for coffee/drinks and conversation.
The Thriftway grocery store is 1.5 miles away, as is, a Starbucks and other great West Seattle restaurants and bars.
Lincoln Park is the secret gem of West Seattle. Acres of green space, quiet area, playfields, play grounds, picnic tables. A seven minute walk to the water's edge...you can see the ferries coming in and throw stones in the Puget Sound. An easy two mile walking/jogging loop from our front door takes you around the park and through the lush forest areas.
West Seattle has amazing shops and restaurants. We'll offer suggestions (Bakery Nouveau, Kokoros, Ma'ono...) if you like.
The bus-line is just a few yards from our house making it easy to get around West Seattle or into downtown Seattle. Check out the King County Metro website for a online trip-planner.
Be a low-impact guest. No smoking in the house. Friendly dogs are welcome, but please confirm when booking. Cats must be extra friendly and discussed prior to booking.
Please keep the bathroom and common areas tidy. Un-registered guests must be discussed prior to their arrival. And, please leave your shoes at the door...I'm from Canada, eh.
If there is a bathroom that can be called clean you will find it at Sean's place ;-) Great house, very kind family, very easy going! Breakfast and coffee was excellent. Recommendation for the local seafood restaurants was also a delicious choice. We also liked their "stay safe" card with information on the nearest hospital, etc. Just in case something happens.
Unfortunately, we could only stay for one night!
After staying in Airbnb homes for a week, Sean's home was by far my favorite. His home is clean and beautiful, and right by Puget Sound and great running/walking trails. If you want to go downtown, there's a bus stop right by his house and only costs a couple dollars. Sean was flexible about our arrival and check-in time. Highly recommend!
This was our second stay at Sean's home. The room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean with two sinks.
Sean and his wife are very gracious hosts and are always helpful. You really feel like their house is your house..
Sean and his family are very nice people. Their house is fantastic, quiet and confortable. The neighborhood is gorgeous. It was great walking around Alki beach and having dinner (twice) at "la rustica", one of our best restaurant ever. (try the lemon pizza!)
Sean has been an excellent host. His home is beautiful and well-kept and the bedroom is extremely comfortable. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time there and we'd definitely recommend it.
Sean, Karla, and their son Seamus were wonderful to stay with. We felt very comfortable and welcome in their home and appreciated that they were so explicit about inviting us to spend time in shared spaces and eat their food.
The room was even more comfortable than we expected. They are across the street from a large and really nice park. This was a wonderful and unexpected amenity for us, especially with our doggie in tow!
This is a gem of a place to stay. A gem. My wife and I were warmly welcomed and made to feel very much at home right from the front door. Everything about Sean and Karla's home is comforting and it's as clean and tidy and any home ever needs to be. Especially appreciated were the reading lamps provided on each side of the bed. Their neighborhood is simply wonderful for walking and exploring and feels very safe and it's remarkably quiet for being in the city. We will definitely want to stay with them again when in Seattle. The listing and other reviews are spot-on accurate.
