We had a fantastic stay at Valentina's flat. Great location, really cool and convenient penthouse and a great bed to rest after long walks in Roma's streets.
Would love to come back.
Great location (in the heart of Trastevere and quite at the same time). Brilliant apartment, very nice open area to chill out. The host is very welcoming, flexible and nice
Our time in Rome was wonderful. Valentina was very helpful, meeting us on the day of arrival, giving us great tips for the both the Trastevere neighbourhood and Rome in general. The apartment itself is great, huge terrace, good living areas, comfortable bed, all very good. The neighbourhood is also great, fanastic resturants, and if you are a craft beer fan both Bir & Fud and Ma Che literally about a minute walk away. If/when I return to Rome I would stay there again
Pros: apartment was in a nice part of Rome and the patio was great!
Cons: the pictures were accurate however maybe taken quite awhile ago. The bathroom was super dark and there was an ant infestation which was kind of off putting. Only two towels were provided for a three night stay. A frustration that we ran into was getting the keys. The owner emailed us stating we needed to provide an exact meeting time which we did the day before however that wasn't enough time and we had to wait two hours for the keys. The directions/apartment # were inaccurate.
I asked 3 times to let me know your arrival time to avoid to waiting outside, you did not care about it...if you rent a flat check in time is the most important information considering that there is not reception and could be correct let the owner know (it's also in your interest if you do not want to wait)
Even the day before your arrival I had to send you once again the question to let me know this information...you absolutely ignored my warning
I can understand that you were already in holiday in Italy but if you organise a trip I think you have to worry about it. To rent a flat is not like a hotel no courtesy product, only 1 set of towels each is provided...nothing strange with this...maybe it's your first experience with flat rental...
Valentina greeted us in the apartment. She gave us a map and some suggestions on where to eat. The site says there is a dryer, but it's just a washer, which turned out fine, since the weather was beautiful.
We were told to close the front door gently, otherwise there could be a problem opening it. We did, but apparently not gently enough. We got locked out. I called her, and she had a friend immediately come to rescue us. After that, I would close the door so slowly and carefully that it was a bit ridiculous but I never had a problem again.
Marble spiral staircase. No lift. Getting the luggage up and down was a bit of a challenge. 55 steps to the apartment. Good way to work off that delicious Italian food!
