Peaceful and quite. It's just what you imagine a visit to the White Mountains should be.
This tri-level chalet is in a private mountain top community. It is centrally located in Intervale, New Hampshire between the quaint villages of North Conway and Jackson and near all of the skiing, swimming, hiking, golf and of course shopping in the valley. It’s perfect for a romantic escape for couples, a shopping expedition with friends to the North Conway outlets, or a memorable family vacation. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 queen size beds and 2 twin beds, 2 bathrooms, one with a sauna and jacuzzi, a wood stove in the living area and a fully stocked kitchen, two decks and lots of light. This chalet is my vacation house and is rarely rented out. If you are looking for the “typical” rental condo, this is not it. It's a special place in top-notch condition.
Maximum 5 people, No smoking or No pets.
Holiday weekends require a 3 night minimum. Reservations must be made at least 10 days prior to stay.
Guests have use of the entire chalet.
This house is not small children friendly. It has open stairs, no gates and on 3 levels.
The view from my window is lovely; it's sometimes hard to get off the couch!!! The house is full of light in the daytime.
The chalet is down a steep hill. A car that's good in snow is helpful in the winter. We aren't the first street that's gets plowed and sanded.
Verizon cell phones work best at the house. I don't have internet, but it is possible to use "hot spot" on your cell as the "mother ship" and access the internet from your phone to your computer. Check your cell phone and (website hidden) to find out how to do this. Free internet is available in many restaurants in the valley.
Gerry's place was great! Very comfortable, clean, and more than enough room for 4 adults. Loved waking up in the morning and opening the shades on the big living room windows to let the light in. Got good use out of the sauna, too. Just a quick ride to the awesome town of Conway.
She left very clear instructions on how to turn the heat on, the water on, etc, and how to close up shop when we left. Would gladly come back!
My family and I had an absolutely delightful time at Gerry's chalet. The chalet is exactly as advertised, but we were even more pleased when we were actually there, as it was warmer, cozier, and more beautiful and spacious than we expected. And the views were amazing. Not sure what peak the large open windows faced but the view over snow covered pines to its distant peak was quite lovely. There is everything you could possibly need in the home, although I recommend bringing a coffee bean grinder if you use one. There are very detailed complete instructions that the host sends to you ahead of time covering heat, electricity, who to call...etc. so you will have no questions on how to's. Gerry is very receptive to any questions you might have ahead of time and even offered her snowshoes for use while we were there. Loved the sauna! You can't go wrong here. The neighborhood is quiet and very rural. My only caveat is to be sure your car has good snow tires as one of the days we were there, we could not get up the steep hill outside of her driveway. Hope we can return again next winter!
Great cabin with many mountain trails nearby.
Gerry was a great host right from the off - sending useful information in advance by email about the area. The house is wonderful - clean, great views, close to many great attractions, comfortable. We would definitely recommend this house to others.
Our experience at Gerry's chalet was outstanding! The views were spectacular, the setting tranquil, and the chalet was equipped with every possible amenity. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Gerry's notes were thorough and welcoming. We would gladly return at anytime.
