About this listing
Peaceful and quite. It's just what you imagine a visit to the White Mountains should be.
This tri-level chalet is in a private mountain top community. It is centrally located in Intervale, New Hampshire between the quaint villages of North Conway and Jackson and near all of the skiing, swimming, hiking, golf and of course shopping in the valley. It’s perfect for a romantic escape for couples, a shopping expedition with friends to the North Conway outlets, or a memorable vacation. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 queen size beds and 2 twin beds, 2 bathrooms, one with a sauna and jacuzzi, a wood stove in the living area and a fully stocked kitchen, two decks and lots of light. This chalet is my vacation house and is rarely rented out. If you are looking for the “typical” rental condo, this is not it. It's a special place in top-notch condition.

The view from the living room windows is lovely; it's sometimes hard to get off the couch!!! The house is filled of light in the daytime.
The chalet is down a steep hill. In winter, a car that's good in snow is helpful. We aren't the first street that's gets plowed and sanded. There are no issues the rest of the year.
Other Things to Note
The kitchen has all of the condiments, coffee, tea and light breakfast foods that you should need. If you want more just let me know. There is a barbecue grill on the back deck.
Please leave the house as you found it, clean and neat.
No smoking and no pets.
We just returned from a wonderful weekend in Gerry's house. Everything was as described, and we feel so lucky to have found such a relaxing, peaceful space. We were 2 couples with 3 kids total, and had plenty of space to feel very comfortable. Gerry's house is a very short drive to Storyland, and there are many wonderful hikes and swimming just a few minutes from her home. The AMC Pinkham Notch hiking centeris 2o minutes away. The kitchen is large and has everything you need. The view from the deck is lovely. The decor is tasteful, not overly personal, so rather than feeling like you are in someone else's personal space, you feel you are in a lovely vacation home (which you are). We hope to come back to explore the area in different seasons.
We had the most amazing time staying at Gerry's Chalet! It was simply perfect in its size, layout, amenities, design.. The pictures don't really do justice to how beautiful and warm it feels.. wish we could have stayed there for another day or two.
Gerry was the perfect host. She left a wine bottle and a little welcome note for us.. In addition, she provided very detailed recommendations on what we could do in the neighborhood. She also shared a detailed list of instructions to make sure we were comfortable through our stay in the chalet.. I do hope to come back to it some day..
We had fantastic time staying at Gerry's house over President's Day weekend in 2015. It is spacious, comfortable and meticulously decorated - exceeded our expectations in every way. It is indeed both secluded and close to everything in the area at the same time with great views straight from the living room/front porch. Booking our stay and the logistics of check-in were a breeze, the house instructions were so comprehensive and well thought out, the freedom of flexible check-out time was a rare treat! We couldn't wish for more. It most definitely will be our first choice for the next trip to Conway area and we've been there a few times before. Thank you, Gerry!
We had a wonderful time at Gerry's chalet in the mountains, just as wonderful as last year. The weather was rainy and chilly and not enough snow to do what we planned but we were prepared with lots and lots of board games and books and we took some nice walks and explored some of the friendly restaurants nearby. The view from the living room window onto the mountain tops is just what you see in the photo. We also put together a beautiful puzzle that Gerry had on her shelves and we enjoyed a bottle of wine that Gerry left for us when we arrived. Lots of room for 5 people, very comfy beds and all the linen, blankets and towels you might need. The sauna is terrific; also a jacuzzi, and a firestove and heater that kept us warm. I just asked my son and he gave it 5 stars, A+++. Hope we can make it back there next year.
Gerry's chalet was perfect for our fall leaf peeping getaway. The view alone makes it worth visiting - we were there during peak foliage and the colors were just magnificent. Her place is bright and full of windows and the living room looks out over the mountains. But beyond the view, the place itself is fantastic. Beautifully designed with an amazing wood-burning stove which we took full advantage of. There's also a jacuzzi and a sauna, which we really enjoyed given the cool fall weather. Gerry was a perfect host- provided us with a list of hikes and things to do in the area, gave us clear instructions ahead of time for getting into the house, and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. We loved the chalet and will definitely be back again.

About the Host, Gerry
I have a wonderful vacation home in the White Mountains of New Hampshire that I love to share with others when I'm not there. I have been coming to the North Conway area for over 40 years and never tire of it. It's a special place, and know that you will enjoy your vacation and all of the amenities the mountains offer. In summer, kayaking on the Saco is so special and relaxing as well as walking to Diana's Bath or driving to the top of the Ledges to see the valley below. Drinks on the veranda of the Mount Washington Hotel are a must. In winter, downhill and/or cross country skiing and snow shoeing are what the area is know for. Come visit, you will love the area and enjoy the serenity of my house.
