  • The room was great - very tidy and clean, as was the bathroom. 15-20 minute walk to the Moscone center, where I was attending a conference. All in all very convenient and cozy, I would stay here again!

  • The duo hosts Wilmer and Collin are most gracious, communicative, and helpful and they made sure I had the proper direction to their place, which is a bit out of the (tourist) way until you've mastered the MUNI system, which can transit you very inexpensively directly to Embarcadero, downtown, and all the way to Golden Gate Park (where I had the most delicious sushi ever at Ebizu). By the same token, it is located on a very quiet street full of commercial lofts and mixed used buildings. The people hanging out on the street at night are mostly folks who live (work) in those lofts out for a smoke or fresh air. (i.e. I felt very safe walking down the street after midnight).
The loft-style apartment is very pleasant, clean, and choke full of wonderful books. The hosts' bedroom is up in the loft, while I had the bedroom downstairs.
The room is not large and the window looks out to an alley and somebody's balcony. However, it's well equipped and the wi-fi worked flawlessly. I had my own dedicated bathroom with excellent hot water pressure in the shower. I did feel a twang of guilt when I had to unwrap a large bar of very wonderful soap ( since I would never finish it). I wished the bath towel were slight thicker though.
Wilmer and Colin are very busy, active, yet discreet folks (I hardly heard or saw them), but they were very solicitous and took the time to point me in the right directions.
All in all, I would highly recommend this place for a single traveler who is not homophobic, independent and not afraid to venture into local (non-tourist) areas..

  • I don't really want to say what a great stay I had, because I want this to be my go-to place to stay when I'm in the city for work. They were nice and friendly, the bed was comfortable, it was close to my office, I liked having my own bathroom- all in all, a great place to stay!!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my 6-day stay with Wilmer, who with Colin was friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. Though quite small and plainly furnished, the room was practical, comfortable, and exceptionally clean and orderly, and stocked with up to date restaurant guides and the like. It has its own temperature control that worked very well through a cold snap in early December. The private bathroom next door was spacious and also very clean with remarkably soft towels. The apartment is situated in a block that hosts many other young professionals and had a nice vibe about it. Coming and going was easy and things felt very secure. I found the area with its upcoming warehouse / loft feel and mixed industrial/residential character a convenient walk to the Conference Center. There are several interesting restaurants, coffee shops, and businesses such as a winery and the SF Flower market within a couple of blocks. Nothing in SF is cheap but for the price I would choose again to stay here rather than a Union Square hotel.

  • Great experience staying with Wilmer in SOMA. They were fantastic hosts and were really friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and private.

  • Wilmer and Colin are warm and welcoming hosts. Their place is super clean and comfortable. The apt is SF-sized with an open floor plan, but the private room and bath are set away a bit from the common areas so you still have a nice quiet place to work if needed. Easy access to transit and decent coffee nearby. Enjoyed my short stay and would definitely recommend!

  • Wilmer and Colon are very gracious hosts! : ) I felt very comfortable and welcomed by them right away. There place is located in the perfect location close to the Caltrain Station and in a safe neighborhood. I had a very comfortable bed / room to myself and the restroom / shower is right next door. I definitely plan to visit them in the city more often. It was a very pleasant and nice weekend! : )
