Eleganza - Love, live, party - Baga

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Baga, Goa, India

The Space

is a delightful little apartment / holiday rental where people can relax, enjoy the best of Goa and go back with great memories!
Description
Our little 'Lovenest' is a delightful apartment just off the main road in Arpora. Barely a five minute walk away from Tito's lane (ten, if you're in heels - we tested it out!), it's perfect for people who would like to party, enjoy the beach and not have to worry about parking, traffic jams and late night drive backs.

About the property
Our two rooms are warm, cosy and completely self sufficient with air conditioning, 24 hr power backup, lift, a glorious little pool- all in the confines of a chic gated community of fellow travelers. The apartment has one bathroom that has solar water heaters and a video security system. Set amidst a small village community and surrounded by large trees, Lovenest has two large balconies for you to sit and soak in the beautiful greenery all around.

Attractions and distance
Since the main Baga street is buzzing away barely five minutes away there are tons of great places to eat, drink and make merry! Most travelers prefer to rent bikes here and there are plenty of places around that offer taxi services also. The famous Saturday Night markets of Goa are a mere 15 minute ride away.

Location – neighborhood description
At Lovenest we make up for the fact that there is no room service by the fact that we are so close to so many great restaurants that do take aways and home delivery service. So enjoy your stay with the true flavors of Goa!

  • It was a disappointing experience for us as well. First of all i would like to make it clear that there was not even a single night during our stay when more than 4 people slept in the apartment. we were a large group of 7 people but only 4 stayed in your apartment while the others took another apartment in the same building. All of us used to sit in the same apartment during the day time, therefore your caretaker thought that all of us sleep in the same apartment. Secondly, water was spilled on the sofa and not beer. Empty bottles of beer were kept on the floor and there was some water spilled on the sofa which was again misunderstood by your caretaker as beer. Last and the final thing is the broken chair, yes one of us sat on the plastic chair and it broke. There was nothing intentional in it and we apologized for it and even paid you the amount of money u asked for the chair.

    Response from Amina:

It has been an unfortunate situation and hard lessons were learnt by us. I still can't understand how it was disappointing for you since my place was trashed, my sofas were spoilt, my chair was broken and despite me going out of my way to make sure that you could rent another place for extra people you still had more than the specified number of people in the apartment. I'm not really the kind to make a big deal about things but what i did not like was that none of the above was informed to me by you, in fact when my caretaker told me and i pointedly asked you all there were justifications given and even an argument over paying for the damaged chair. Rules were flouted left right and centre, there was chaos in the pool with people jumping in without appropriate swimwear and the fact that nobody in the large group was ready to provide any ID proofs despite repeated requests by the staff. Fortunately this has brought to my notice my shortcoming in taking bookings from bachelors numbering more than 2. Thanks to this experience I have put a limit on the number of bachelors that can stay in the apartment.

  • Amina attentive and binding on the owner. The apartment is comfortable, clean, located in a convenient location, good facilities, pool, protection, a housekeeper. All our expectations were met and the rest was great! Thank you, Amina, we will definitely return:)

  • When we go for a Holiday with friends and family we look out for a good fun along with relaxation and pleasure.
Same and perfect experience I had while staying at amina's place.
The place is neither far nor right to the beach.
Its perfectly located just 10 mins walking to Baga beach, the room has every essential things you need for a good stay.
My stay at amina's place was very good and i will surely recommend this place to all of my family and friends.
Though i was not able to meet amina but will hope to see her again on my next visit.

    Cheers,
    Hardik kothari.

Thanks Hardik! Hope you guys had a great time! Next time you're in Goa we go out for a drink, for sure!

  • Amina was a gracious host. Her place is cozy and it was easy to walk to the beach, breakfast and even the night spots on Tito's Lane. I stayed with my sister and a friend during our visit to Goa and we enjoyed the pool, the nice little balcony and the friendliness of the security and caretakers. Additionally, there was plenty of hot water to go around after a long day of sightseeing in the heat.

I would say the only drawbacks are the bed in the bedroom is quite hard - although I lucked out and got the pullout sofa, which was quite comfy - and there is no wifi. Also, if there are more than two people in your party, just be aware that the reach the bathroom you have to go through the bedroom!

If you are looking for a nice, convenient and economical place to stay while you are in Goa, I would recommend checking out Amina's place, especially because Amina and the people who work there go the extra mile with service to ensure you enjoy your stay.

    Response from Amina:

Thanks Kate for being so kind. We will try to improve the facilities, WiFi is definitely on my agenda so hopefully soon. We have a regular sleepw ell mattress so hard bed is something I will have to check because this is the first time someone has said that, and we are a 1bhk so the bathroom is attached to the bedroom. I'm glad you enjoyedd your stay, hope to see you all here aga in soon. Thanks forfor the feedback!

About
An easy going person I have just one weakness and that is food! Good food makes me go weak in the knees and trying to get it off my hips is certainly not doing anything good for my knees either!!! I've been living in Goa for the past 11 years and have an on again off again relationship with the place... the easy Goa- way -of -life has rubbed off on me and my family and if we had any drive or ambition it got washed away at the beach this weekend when we were soaking it up beneath the palm trees...sigh... anyways, I consider myself sort of a tourist's best friend as far as Goa is considered since I have literally 'been there done that'...well not THAT that..but close!! I am a writer and head the content team for one of Goa's leading destination magazines - Planet Goa, which sort of makes me an expert on where to eat, where to spa, where to shop and where not! So if you meet me here then do expect unsolicited advice on everything from forts to forests, from horse farms to club cubana! I love going out and meeting new people so if you're in town give me a shout out and chances are we'll be having a drink while the surf's still up in Palolem! See ya... Sussegado!
