Welcome to Riviera , an idyllic, eco-friendly family-run guest house in Batticaloa, on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka.
The Resort was established in 1982 and borne out of the desire to preserve nature and share our picturesque corner of Sri Lanka with guests from all over the world. Riviera Resort, which is within the city limits, has been a labour of love.
It started off as a comfortable family villa and the accommodation has been added to over the years with chalets and simple cabanas. The resort has fifteen double and single air-conditioned and non air-conditioned rooms. It offers a modest reception hall, with a lagoon front seating area, which is ideal for open air meetings and garden parties.
A scenic panorama of lagoon, sea, historic Dutch fortress and the famous Kallady bridge.
A treat for artists and nature lovers alike, with picture perfect sunsets.
Within earshot of the famed music of the singing fish, audible during full moon days.
