Ten of us (4 adults, 6 kids) stayed here. Huge house about 1/3 way up the mountain down a tiny side road. Big enough for all of us. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, great view. Fireplace was not working-host says it is to be fixed soon. We were here during a blizzard and were very glad to have winter tires, chains, and experienced winter drivers. We were able to make it up the mountain and ski all days, though it often took us 45-60 minutes of driving up and back due to road conditions. The roads were cleared quickly. Sauna was a nice touch; we were unaware there was a surcharge for the use. Definitely would recommend this apartment for big groups.

My first experience using air bnb and it couldn't have been any better. We were a group of six cyclists from the UK in the Alps for three days needing somewhere to stay that was convenient for the rides we wanted to do and that was of a good standard as we've all progressed beyond the hostels of our distant youth. The house is in a stunning location looking down over Bourg d'Oisans from great height. The views over the valley towards Villard Reymond and the balcony road are superb. The house is well equipped with ample space for us (two doubles and four single bunk beds) once we found it (look for the sign of the fox at the top of the drive). We cooked at the house - inside and at the bbq- and ate at the picnic table on the lawn enjoying the last rays of evening sunshine. The hosts Thierry and Nuria could not have been more accommodating. Thierry was very responsive to my numerous queries on all manner of subjects before our arrival and Nuria was the perfect host once we arrived - on hand to help with trivial stuff but not at all intrusive. The house is 3 or 4 km basically uphill on a side road off virage 16 on the Alpe d'Huez so you have a bit of a climb after your day's cycling. Chez Willy at virage 16 ( recommended by Thierry) does great steak frites and welcome beers. The town of Alpe d'Huez is 10km or so from virage 16. All in all we landed on our feet booking this and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you're looking for a comfortable base for exploring the Alpe d'Huez and surrounding areas with amazing views.

Nice, clean and spacious apartement with a stunning view from the front door. Garden invites to hang out in front and enjoy the quite nature. Dishwasher, washingmachine, nice kitchen, living room... The apartement has everything you need for a stress-free holiday. Thierry and Nuria were very helpful, patient and took good care of our group. The whole group felt comfortable right from the point of arrival. The apartement is located on a side road up to the famous climb to Alpe d'huez and is a good place to stay with a smaller group of cyclists to explore the most famous mountains of the Tour de france during the summer time. Would be happy to visit again one day.

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment is nice and cosy. It has a great garden with an incredible view. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We stayed with 9 in total. In that case one extra toilet would be a great addition to the apartment (but for smaller groups I imagine 1 toilet is fine). WiFi and TV reception was weak during our stay, but I was told this was only a temporary problem. Thierry really is a great host and was very helpful! It's an excellent location to explore the Alps by bike. Would definitely recommend this.

We had a great time in the apartment. You can be on your own, yet you don't feel completely isolated. The spacious (we were 4 adults and 3 kids) apartment is furnished with taste. The terrace offers a very nice view on Bourg d'oisans and the surrounding mountains. We especially appreciate the extra care that was given which makes the apartment perfect for a holiday (the barbecue, the dinner table outside on the terrace, the hammock,...). Would definitely recommend it.

Hi, we live partly in France and in Spain. We love the mountains and the outdoors and try to spend as much time as possible in our house in France.
If we're not enjoying the mountains we most likely are in Spain (Gerona/Tenerife) where I work as an airline pilot.
We took a lot of pleasure and pride in renovating our house and look forward to meeting our guests. We will do our utmost best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
