About This Listing
Situated in the centre of Copenhagen, this 61 m2 apt will make you feel right at home and guarantee you a pleasant stay.
The apartment is only 100 m. from the famous pedestrian shopping street Strøget, The Round Tower and King’s Garden and less than 10 minutes walk from The Royal Residence - Amalienborg, the charming and lively Nyhavn, The Copenhagen Lakes, The Botanical Garden, Tivoli and The City Hall.
Supermarkets & groceries
You have several supermarkets to choose from and the great food market Torvehallerne, is just a 10 min. walk away (just behind Nørreport Station).
The apartment is located in one of Copenhagen's old buildings from 1813, in a small street without traffic noise. There are however shops, restaurants and two bars further down the street, so on weekends you might hear music and people in the street.
The kitchen is fully equipped with ceramic hobs, oven, kettle, toaster, juicer, Nespresso machine and a washing machine for your clothes. The kitchen also has a lounge area where you can enjoy your breakfast or your afternoon tea.
The living room is simple and bright with a cosy armchair next to the library wall, a dinner table surrounded by six chairs, and a JVC boom blaster with iPod/iPad input to play your favorite music.
The bathroom is small, but sweet, clean and very functional: Separate shower with shower curtain, toilet, sink, hairdryer and a small cabinet for all your bathroom articles.
The bedroom is spacious and bright with a full-size mirror, ironing board and iron and of course a double bed worthy of kings and queens to make sure you enjoy your stay.
I expect guests to take good care of my apartment and of course pay respect to other people living in the building. Please no smoking allowed. I hope you will enjoy your stay:)
As others have written, Julie's apartment is across the road from a couple of bars that are lively on Friday and Saturday nights, but this does not stop us sleeping! The other nights (we weren't there for Thursday but for the rest of the week) the small, one-way street was quiet and the windows are double. We found this a fantastic location for exploring Copenhagen on foot and using public transport. It was excellent for my husband getting the metro to his conference at the Bella Centre and the reduced price public transport pass with the conference meant we could make good use of this.
Julie's friend, Simon, welcomed us at the apartment and gave us helpful directions to the supermarkets and metro stations. This was our first stay in an apartment where the owner generally lives most of the time. Initially it felt a little strange, but Julie had left the apartment arranged so carefully and it felt welcoming so we soon got over this. We appreciated the groceries to which we had access, the cupboard we could use in the bathroom and the flowers.
When we visited there were white curtains in the bedroom which helped the bright, crisp look of the room but did not block the light. The hot water service is small so two people who like long showers would need to plan for this.
The close access to so much of Copenhagen and the bright, clean apartment made this a lovely place to stay.
Julie was very quick to respond. She was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us a quick overview of the apartment. Her home is bright, very clean, and beautifully decorated. Julie was very thoughtful, leaving a map, chocolates, Calsberg and even a few groceries as the grocery store was closed when we arrived. Julie's home was spacious and well appointed. As noted in other reviews, the noise from the bar across the street was extremely loud from 11pm-4am daily and made sleep impossible. You have 5-7 minutes max of hot water per shower. The location of the apartment was great; very central and backs up to a very cute square with several restaurants and a bike rental shop.
All our experience was wonderfull. The apartament was in the center of the city with a lot restaurant and shops. In the flat there was all that somebody can need. Is very recomended
Julie's place was super lovely/arty and in a perfect location in CPH, I highly recommend this place to anybody who is considering.
Julie was great: she met us at the apartment and gave us the full tour, showing us how to use the clothes washer and making us feel right at home. The apartment is exactly as beautiful as it looks in the photos. Two minor downsides: there's no elevator and the apartment is up three flights of stairs, and (as others have noted) the noise from the late-night partiers can definitely be annoying if you're a light sleeper. That said, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again next time we're in Copenhagen!
Very neat and clean flat and Julie was very nice host. Negatives were noise on weekends. Amazing location however so great if you want to be in the middle of everything.
Julie is a great host. Responsive over email, friendly and very easy to deal with. Her apartment was spotless and couldn't be more central. Would definitely rent again.
