A unique feature of our lovely, comfortable home is the huge windows along the south-facing side of the house which offer a magnificent panorama of the majestic Rocky Mountains. The main living area (living room, dining room, kitchen bathroom and two bedrooms) is upstairs on the second floor, which provides even more impressive views. If you enjoy bright, sun-drenched open spaces, you will love our living-room, dining room and kitchen area. The master bedroom and the children's bedroom on the second floor are north-facing, thereby cool and comfortable in the evenings. Downstairs (on the main floor) there is a sunny sitting-room and large play-room, looking out of huge windows again, onto the deck and quiet, tree-filled back-yard. A third bedroom with a large window, a second bathroom, a small kitchenette / craft-room and a small but bright laundry room complete the first floor.
Situated beside a small park/playground, we are located minutes from the Cougar Creek trail-head (for biking, hiking and rock climbing), as well as from the well-rated Iron Goat Pub & Grill. Canmore offers a very good trail network with many choices within the (website hidden). 25 mins. walk from down town. (5 mins. drive). There is a transit bus between Canmore and Banff, which is situated 20 mins. west from here. If interested please contact us to plan a visit.

We had a wonderful stay at the house in Canmore. The house was perfect for our family. We were able to relax with home-cooked food, eating on the patio, along with internet and TV access, when we weren't out exploring the beauty of the mountains. The accommodations offered an excellent way to start and finish every day we were on vacation - much better than a hotel.
Jean-Pierre and Marti were friendly hosts and helped us find activities that got us away from the crowds of tourists. Their small library on activities and wildlife in the area was also very useful to us.
We appreciated that our hosts made sure we checked in okay, after we had an unexpected change with our arrival time.
Overall it was a wonderful experience, and made our trip to the Canadian Rockies that much more impressive.
We spent a very nice week at JP&M's house. Our daughter had plenty of toys and even a little house at the garden where she had fun every day early in the morning. The house is very comfortable and well located, very near to a big public garden, in a silent and beautiful neighborhood. J-P helped us to discover some interesting places in kananaskis Park and he even lent us some detailed maps of the hiking zone.
We had a nice organic french red wine bottle as welcome present!
I hereby recommend this two great host.
