I spent 3-nights in Arcata with my wife and 2 year old son. We used Black Cat Alley Hideaway as a home base for the Redwoods and surrounding area. I was extremely pleased with the location, amenities and cleanliness of the property. Amy and Bob were extremely helpful and made our stay very special. The property is a lot larger than the pictures shown online. Amy and Bob provided eggs, English muffins and coffee. They also provided books and maps of the city and surrounding area. The kitchen is fully stocked if you choose to do your cooking at home, but also close enough to Arcata if you want to eat out. I traveled with my bike and was able to ride into the town square in a matter of minutes. I would definitely recommend Black Cat Alley Hideaway to anyone who plans to visit the area. I look forward to visiting again soon and would absolutely stay with Amy and Bob again.
Room was great! Lots of art on the walls painted by the host gives the place a very cool homey feel. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Amy is such a great host. The little cottage even feels bigger than the pictures show. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. Its very clean and comfortable. Their home is located in a great part of town, too! I'll definitely stay again. Thanks, Amy and Bob, for your hospitality!
Thanks, Bob for the great hospitality again; it was great spending a very special birthday and new years there this time. Kara
Bob and Amy were genuinely nice and great hosts. They helped us get settled and then gave us privacy. The room was wonderful and clean, with everything we needed. The refrigerator was stocked with english muffins, Pellegrino, and coffee beans-- a really thoughtful touch. We would highly recommend Bob and Amy's place to anyone, and we hope to stay with them again soon.
Bob and Amy are lovely, they were a big help with recommendations on where to eat, drink and shop. Amy met us and told us all about the apartment, it is really well furnished with everything you could need, lovely and clean. She also provided some food for our breakfast which was a huge help. Thanks Bob and Amy!
