Beautiful, large and sunny Williamsburg loft-style apartment. Only a few blocks to the L train which will bring you to Manhattan in under 10 minutes. On a very quiet street & only a few blocks to lively Graham Avenue restaurants and bars.
Beautiful, sunny loft-style apartment in Williamsburg. Only a few blocks to the L train which will bring you to Manhattan in 10 minutes. On a very quiet street & only a few blocks to Graham Avenue bars & restaurants. Also within walking distance of Bushwick. Very safe area with lovely Cooper Park nearby. It's a large 900 sq foot loft-style apartment. Ground floor with large windows so it stays quite cool in the summer, but there is AC also. One comfy full-size bed with a 10" memory foam mattress plus a bed for a toddler, so this apartment is great for families.
I love this neighborhood and have lived here for 10 years. Williamsburg offers so much I find that I never leave the neighborhood. There is never a shortage of things to do and it's great to have amazing restaurants and bars at your doorstep. But if you want to live the quiet life you can do that here also. It's very accessible to Manhattan via the L subway line. Buses also run along Grand Street and Graham Avenue.
The space for rent is a former storefront that was converted into living quarters, so it is very open and airy and there are no stairs to bother with. There is a reason I haven't moved in 10 years.
The entire apartment.

I am available via wifi and phone at all times and have a friend who lives nearby should you have any issues.
So many fun things to do. Great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Great music venues nearby. Very convenient to Manhattan via the L train, although I find that I stay in the neighborhood and walk everywhere. It's an old Italian neighborhood and in Spring and Summer the trees are in full bloom. Cooper Park is wonderful and is only 3 short blocks away. Very safe anytime of the day or night.
Take the L train to Grand Street in Brooklyn. Also just a few blocks to the Graham Avenue L stop in Brooklyn. The B43 runs along Graham Avenue to Greenpoint. The Q59 and Q54 are a block away also and take you to the heart of Williamsburg. Always easy to find a parking spot on this street.
If staying long term, the plants need to be watered on a weekly basis.
Mary Sue was always available to answer our questions and organised for a friend to be there to welcome us and show us around her flat. She thought of tiny details like finicky sockets and helped us to find our way around her apartment with lots of post-its :)
We liked that the apartment was in a quiet street, close to the L-line (our favourite line after only a few days) and thus Bedford Ave. and Manhattan, we had lots of space and a warm retreat after a long day in the cold. It was a bit hard to cook a full meal in the kitchen, but there are several supermarkets, delis and coffee shops around. If you like vintage furniture and the quirky style of Mary Sue (see the pictures whe uploaded) this is a good place for you to stay!
We have spent a very nice time in Mary Sue’s place at Olive Street, few walking steps from the Bedford Avenue in the trendy (vintage and organic) and popular Williamsburg district area and a quick ride only from Manhattan by the L train (5 minutes station from Olive street).
The very spacious and cozy apartment was like our, and we could enjoyed the antic furniture and old photographs on the wall. I had to work part of the time I was there and appreciated the little to no noise during the day.
Mary Sue was not in town at the time of our stay but remained very attentive by email or phone to our needs and ready to help out if necessary. She marked us all the good places for nice drinks/concerts around and has been gently flexible for arrival and departure time to accommodate the flight schedules.
I would recommend Mary Sue and her place to any close friends who would like to discover the lovely Brooklyn.
An excellent quiet apartment close to the L train!
I stayed over a New York winter where temperatures dropped below -16ºc so Mary's place became some what of a sanctuary from the cold. It was warm and cosy and felt like home after only a day.
You'll love the spacious and long room floor plan situated on a quiet street corner opposite a church and primary school.
The apartment has everything you'll need to get comfortable: wi-fi, heater, private shower/toilet, kitchen and fridge. We used it more as a place to crash at night while we took advantage of the location and stayed out as late as possible in Manhattan.
Getting into Manhattan is a quick 2 minute walk around the corner via the L train at Grand street. You'll also spend a lot of time in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, hopping in and out of coffee and brunch spots as well as the numerous and eclectic bars.
I'd suggest renting this to my friends as it's a nice quiet place to crash after a busy day of exploring. The proximity to the L train is superb as is the host who checked to see if everything was okay and sent personal suggestions of places to visit in the area.

I am a nature enthusiast, artist and mother. Love meeting people from different places and swapping stories. Have trotted around the globe for a bit and have a great love for West Africa, but am quite content here in Ireland too. Can't beat the weather.
