  • Beautiful environment! Bedroom was lovely, cozy and private. The garden, kitchen and bathroom were public space.

  • Jim and wife Sonia were very personable and friendly hosts. Jim showed us his artwork and told us all about his property and his story. The room was very basic but did the job :) bathroom was just enough. Outdoor kitchen was helpful for cooking up some grilled cheeses. Only real affordable option in the area! Amazing access to Point Lobos- saw lots of wildlife.

  • We had a wonderful weekend getaway. The cottage/crash pad was all we needed and the space is super cute. The location was perfect, sandwiched between the two state parks that we wanted to visit and a short drive to downtown for dinner. We met Jim and he took the time to show us the shortcut to the beach, thank you! The bathroom was a short walk away and was not a big deal for us.

  • Jim and the garden temple were great. This truly is a perfect space for a little solo retreat or with a loved one. My boyfriend and I had a lovely night grilling and eating outside by the beautiful rock sculptures and luscious garden patio. Jim was full of knowledge about every sort of activity you could imagine in the area. If you get a chance to go, I definitely recommend it! If you can, bring bikes and bike to the Point Lobos State Reserve (really close by) to see the otters and watch the sunset. Thanks Jim!

  • This was the perfect stop along our drive north along the California coast. This place is so cute and unique. It is similar to camping, but with a little more luxury! Jim and his wife were great hosts, giving us fabulous recommendations on dinner, breakfast, and a beautiful sunset walk! Jim walked us down to a private beach that lead to Point Lobos for a beautiful walk the next morning. Twinkle lights and garden candles welcomed us back from dinner that evening.
The room is small, but we didn't need anything more than a bed to sleep. I would definitely come back to stay again.

  • Great location in the hosts sculpture garden. It was raining while we were there and there is a bit of a walk to the bathroom facilities with no shower or bath available.

  • The cabin is cozy but very nicely decorated, and in a beautiful setting. The outdoor kitchen is very cool. Jim was a great host, and we had a very nice stay here.
