Room in city centre apartment, a short walk to all main sights, and with wonderful views across Belfast.

The Space

The apartment is located in the city centre, right in the heart of Belfast’s historic docklands, known locally as Sailortown. Less than a ten minute walk will take you into the vibrant Cathedral Quarter, which hosts an array of charming and popular bars full of character, many restaurants, a range of arts and cultural venues, such as the new MAC theatre, as well as Belfast’s gay bars and clubs. A further five minute walk will take you to Belfast City Hall as well as Victoria Square Shopping Centre, and St George's market. A short stroll from the apartment across the river Lagan will take you to all the Titanic attractions, including the new visitor centre, the SS Nomadic, the Titanic Pump House, as well as the original dry dock where the ship was built. All of Belfast’s main music and concert venues – the Odyssey arena, Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall and Grand Opera House – are all within a 10-20 minute walk. Conveniently, there is a large Tesco superstore within a 5 minute walk.

The room is comfortable and cozy, containing a standard double bed, a desk (with lots of brochures on local attractions and events), and a built-in wardrobe for your use. You will have the sole use of a private bathroom which is beside the bedroom. Although it’s not en-suite, it will be completely yours, as I have my own bathroom which I always use. Towels are provided, of course, a hairdryer and also a range of toiletries for your convenience.

The apartment has stunning panoramic views over the Belfast skyline. This is my home and I live here. You will have use of all facilities and amenities, which includes free WiFi, Cable TV, washing machine, fridge, iron etc, and you are welcome to cook.

I will always have fresh juice, teas, coffee, cereals, porridge, fruit, bagels or croissants and jams available, which you are very welcome to. Also, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor, which opens from 7.30. (It isn't open weekends).

If you have a rental car, there is free, secured parking. If you’re just staying in Belfast, a car isn't necessary. If you’re interested in visiting the Giants Causeway (which I definitely recommend), a car might be useful, although there are several organised tours every day which are good value, and which I can advise on.

I work in the city, about 15 minutes walk from the apartment, and I always try to meet new guests on arrival and answer any questions you have as well as offering some advice on what to do in Belfast. I've lived in Belfast all my life – it’s a wonderful city and you will not be disappointed as there’s so much to do. Please do get in touch with me in advance of your stay if you would like some advice or help with making arrangements or bookings.

I'm flexible with check-in and check-out times, although as I work Monday to Friday, it is usually only possible for me to arrange weekday check-ins from about 4pm. Other than that, you will be welcome to arrive or leave anytime that suits (so long as I don't have guests arriving or leaving the same day).

I don’t smoke and I don’t have pets. Neither is permitted.

Please get in touch if you have any questions at all.

  • Kevin is a fantastic host. He went out of his way to make me feel at home and to make my stay as pleasant as possible, from meeting me at the bus station, to helping me figure out logistical details in the city. All of his recommendations for food/drink/museums were wonderful. His apartment is lovely. It is clean, comfortable, and very well situated. The room is large, has a nice view, the bed is comfortable, and it was helpful to have a little desk to work at. The bathroom is very nice as well. I could not have had a better stay. It was super helpful to have light breakfast things available as well. I strongly endorse this listing!

  • Kevin was a fantastic host. He was gracious, welcoming and informative, offering invaluable tips for sightseeing and cafes. We enjoyed talking with Kevin and learning more about his fascinating city over a perfect breakfast to start our day of exploring.
His home was also beautifully appointed and stylish, with a very comfy bed, great linens and wonderful toiletries. Our only regret? Not staying longer.

  • I was an airbnb novice before my Belfast experience and what a great introduction. Beautiful quiet room, view out window, close to everything and Kevin the host is delightful. He even taught me some lovely Irish phrases such as "out for a wee dander".

  • We stayed just the one night at Kevin's, however he was professional and very helpful!
The place is clean and tidy, especially considering he has just repainted!!
Would definitely recommend Kevin to people staying in Belfast while on holiday.

  • I booked this apartment for my daughter and her boyfriend. Here is their very positive review:

Staying with Kevin was phenomenal! It was as if we were staying with a good friend. The room was great - extremely clean, comfortable and quiet, bathroom also clean with a basket of small soaps, shampoos and conditioners for use - extremely convenient if you didn't pack enough! WiFi was very fast. Kevin sat down with us and suggested great activities and restaurants. He suggested walking/hiking around Belfast Castle -which was absolutely beautiful and a highlight of the trip! He wrote down the bus number and schedule for us. The bus stop is right outside of the apartment complex - although the complex is a short walk away from almost everything else!

The best part was feeling so welcome and at ease in the apartment. Kevin knew so much about Belfast history and answered all of our questions and even took us on a political murals tour! After a long day of site-seeing we all enjoyed watching the World Cup together in the apartment. Kevin was so helpful, accommodating, kind, funny and just plain awesome! It was the perfect stay. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong with a friend, and Kevin is definitely a friend!

  • I had a great time in Belfast thanks to Kevin! It was a great little apartment, very tidy, and modern. It was my first time using Airbnb so after such a positive first experience I would definitely use it again. I had a very early flight the next morning but Kevin was very helpful in calling me a cab and leaving me some breakfast for the morning. Also a really cool neighborhood, a little tricky to find, but so close to the city centre, I was able to walk up and grab a nice dinner.
Thanks for a wonderful stay Kevin!

Hi. I am a guy in my early 40s, living and working in Belfast city centre - it's a wonderful city to live in with so much to see and do, and if you stay with me, I'd be only too happy to share some of why I love it here, with some insider tips on what to see, where to eat and drink, and where to go. I've loved being both a host and a guest with Airbnb, and have met some wonderful and amazing people from all parts of the world. I'm relaxed and easy going, and love to hang out with friends, as well as travel.
