The apartment is located in the city centre, right in the heart of Belfast’s historic docklands, known locally as Sailortown. Less than a ten minute walk will take you into the vibrant Cathedral Quarter, which hosts an array of charming and popular bars full of character, many restaurants, a range of arts and cultural venues, such as the new MAC theatre, as well as Belfast’s gay bars and clubs. A further five minute walk will take you to Belfast City Hall as well as Victoria Square Shopping Centre, and St George's market. A short stroll from the apartment across the river Lagan will take you to all the Titanic attractions, including the new visitor centre, the SS Nomadic, the Titanic Pump House, as well as the original dry dock where the ship was built. All of Belfast’s main music and concert venues – the Odyssey arena, Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall and Grand Opera House – are all within a 10-20 minute walk. Conveniently, there is a large Tesco superstore within a 5 minute walk.
BEDROOM / BATHROOM
The room is comfortable and cozy, containing a standard double bed, a desk (with lots of brochures on local attractions and events), and a built-in wardrobe for your use. You will have the sole use of a private bathroom which is beside the bedroom. Although it’s not en-suite, it will be completely yours, as I have my own bathroom which I always use. Towels are provided, of course, and also a range of toiletries for your convenience.
The apartment has stunning panoramic views over the Belfast skyline. This is my home and I live here. You will have full use of all facilities and amenities, which includes free WiFi, Cable TV, washing machine / dryer, fridge, iron etc, and you are welcome to cook.
I will always have fresh juice, tea, coffee, cereals, porridge, fruit, bagels or croissants and jams available, which you are very welcome to. Also, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor, which opens from 7.30. (It isn't open weekends).
If you have a rental car, there is free, secured parking. If you’re just staying in Belfast, a car isn't necessary. If you’re interested in visiting the Giants Causeway (which I definitely recommend), a car might be useful, although there are several organised tours every day which are good value, and which I can advise on.
I work in the city, about 15 minutes walk from the apartment, and I always try to meet new guests on arrival and answer any questions you have as well as offering some advice on what to do in Belfast. I've lived in Belfast all my life – it’s a wonderful city and you will not be disappointed as there’s so much to do. Please do get in touch with me in advance of your stay if you would like some advice or help with making arrangements or bookings. I'm very flexible about check-in and check-out times. You will be welcome to arrive or leave anytime that suits (so long as I don't have guests arriving or leaving the same day).
I don’t smoke and I don’t have pets. Neither is permitted.
Please get in touch if you have any questions at all.
Great host. Very accommodating, easy going and really helpful with directions, what to do how to get about, everything. A very nice man with a comfortable nicely located, clean and tidy home. Ideal for couples or if going solo. Friendly and non-intrusive host who is also from the city. I strongly recommend Kevin and his home. I like to cook a lot of my own food when travelling and it was easy to fit in and just do my thing around the kitchen after a few helpful hints with the hob etc. My first visit to Belfast was a good one. Thanks in part to Kevin.
Hope to see you again.
Let me start by saying that Kevin is fantastic. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer, as we really would have liked the chance to grab a drink with him. He was very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was very nice, in a great location, and at a great price. I can't say enough good things about this place!
Kevin was a fantastic host. He provided us with directions to his apartment well in advance and was easily accessible for questions by e-mail or phone. His apartment was spotless. He spent quite a bit of time drawing his favorite local spots on a map for us and helped us arrange a black taxi cab tour. We only wished we could have stayed longer in Belfast!
Kevin has been a great host, nice and welcoming, plus the apartment is modern and incredibly clean!
I remained in Belfast less then 24 hours but with his suggestion I got to see a lot, we even hang out together with some of his friends: a great experience having a couple of Guinnes with three locals!
We loved staying with Kevin! He made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The room and bathroom were very nice and clean. We were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go in the city from his apartment. We loved Belfast and will definitely stay with Kevin again if we ever get the chance to go back. Thank you Kevin!
Perfect! The apartment was comfortable, clean, stylish. Kevin was a great host... Warm and welcoming, and had lots of great tips for places to eat. Made in Belfast and Zen were delicious! The apartment is a very short walk to the center of Belfast, and breakfast supplies were fab. We highly recommend Kevin's place.
We stay 3 nights in Kevin's flat. Kevin is very nice, he picked up us in the museum and drive us to home. He knows Belfast so well and he gives us a lot useful advice. His flat is tidy and cozy, it's a very nice place to stay and close to city center. By the way, Kevin is so kind-hearted. It's raining when we leave and we are in hurry, Kevin drive us to the bus station. Really great first bnb experience and highly recommend Kevin's flat!
Although a very short stay, Kevin was a great host and very helpful with our tour on Belfast. Gave us great advices on getting around and what to see. His house was really nice, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended! If we returned to Northern Ireland I'd love to stay in Kevin's house again :)
Thank you Kevin.
