About this listing
Room in city centre apartment, a short walk to all main sights and attractions, and with wonderful views across Belfast.
The apartment is located in the city centre, right in the heart of Belfast’s historic docklands, known locally as Sailortown. Less than a ten minute walk will take you into the vibrant Cathedral Quarter, which hosts an array of charming and popular bars full of character, many restaurants, a range of arts and cultural venues, such as the new MAC theatre, as well as Belfast’s gay bars and clubs. A further five minute walk will take you to Belfast City Hall as well as Victoria Square Shopping Centre, and St George's market. A short stroll from the apartment across the river Lagan will take you to all the Titanic attractions, including the new visitor centre, the SS Nomadic, the Titanic Pump House, as well as the original dry dock where the ship was built. All of Belfast’s main music and concert venues – the Odyssey arena, Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall and Grand Opera House – are all within a 10-20 minute walk. Conveniently, there is a large Tesco superstore within a 5 minute walk.
BEDROOM / BATHROOM
The room is comfortable and cozy, containing a standard double bed, a desk (with lots of brochures on local attractions and events), and a built-in wardrobe for your use. You will have the sole use of a private bathroom which is beside the bedroom. Although it’s not en-suite, it will be completely yours, as I have my own bathroom which I always use. Towels are provided, of course, a hairdryer and also a range of toiletries for your convenience.
The apartment has stunning panoramic views over the Belfast skyline. This is my home and I live here. You will have use of all facilities and amenities, which includes free WiFi, Cable TV, washing machine, fridge, iron etc, and you are welcome to cook.
I will always have fresh juice, teas, coffee, cereals, porridge, fruit, bagels or croissants and jams available, which you are very welcome to. Also, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor, which opens from 7.30. (It isn't open weekends).
If you have a rental car, there is free, secured parking. If you’re just staying in Belfast, a car isn't necessary.
The apartment can be a little tricky to find first time, and to gain access the car park you will need a to dial a local phone number. But there are other options if this isn't possible.
Please ask me about Black Taxi political tours of Belfast, or visiting the Giants Causeway (which I definitely recommend)
I work in the city, about 15 minutes walk from the apartment, and I always try to meet new guests on arrival and answer any questions you have as well as offering some advice on what to do in Belfast. I've lived in Belfast all my life – it’s a wonderful city and you will not be disappointed as there’s so much to do. Please do get in touch with me in advance of your stay if you would like some advice or help with making arrangements or bookings.
CHECKING IN AND OUT
I'm flexible with check-in and check-out times, although as I work Monday to Friday, it is usually only possible for me to arrange weekday check-ins from about 4pm. Other than that, you will be welcome to arrive or leave anytime that suits (so long as I don't have guests arriving or leaving the same day).
I don’t smoke and I don’t have pets. Neither is permitted.
Please get in touch if you have any questions at all.
I only have one house rule, and that's no unauthorised guests.
Other than that, I hope you will make yourself at home, and treat my place as you would look after your own home.
Kevin was a great host, I felt like home! He provided loads of guides and maps and explained in detail the direction I should take. You get a room, fairly large one I might add and your own bathroom with shower/bathtub.
The description in the add is accurate.
The apartment is in walking distance from city centre and very quiet.
I would highly recommend Kevin if you stop by in Belfast and need a place to sleep.
Thank you very much.
Kevin made us feel very welcome. He gave us a tour of the flat, information about the city and suggested day trip ideas. He was friendly and inviting and the apartment was pristine! If you're visiting Belfast we can recommend staying here.
Kevin was a brilliant host, the apartment was in a quiet safe location.
The apartment was exactly as described, clean, comfortable and modern.
Kevin is a great host and provided a very comfortable room and private bath with all the amenities one could need, including an in-room fan, plug adapters, and toiletries. He shared helpful information about places to visit and to eat, provided a good breakfast selection and was respectful of my privacy. The location was very good - quiet, but close enough to walk to attractions. The apartment is beautiful (updated since photo), clean and comfortably furnished. I very much enjoyed my visit and would love to return someday to finish seeing the sights in Belfast.
We enjoyed our stay in Belfast from beginning to end, and staying at Kevin's enhanced the experience. Kevin was a wonderful host and the apartment was perfect for our needs. Kevin welcomed us and gave advice on what to see in the city, including the Black Cab Tour, which I'm sure we would have overlooked but which turned out to be a highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland. We visited everything from the Titanic to the Crown Pub and were able to walk everywhere. Highly recommended.
About the Host, Kevin
Hi. I am a guy in my early 40s, living and working in Belfast city centre - it's a wonderful city to live in with so much to see and do, and if you stay with me, I'd be only too happy to share some of why I love it here, with some insider tips on what to see, where to eat and drink, and where to go. I've loved being both a host and a guest with Airbnb, and have met some wonderful and amazing people from all parts of the world. I'm relaxed and easy going, and love to hang out with friends, as well as travel.
