Other Things to Note
It's a small bedroom, so may be better for the solo traveler as, with two people, there's not a lot of room for opening 2 suitcases at the same time.
Must be pet-friendly. Our German Shepherd, Jackson, lives here, too.
We had a wonderful stay at Colin and Jane's. We arrived far later than we were hoping due to work and traffic and Colin was there to graciously help us. The room was quaint and we got a really nice sleep before hitting the road, and Colin even helped us with our bikes! Thanks you so much.
This worked out well for us while visiting my mom who lives a few miles away. There was good air conditioning and a ceiling fan, which we really appreciated! Jackson is a very sweet dog, although we didn't get to see too much of him.
Jane and Colin were wonderful hosts! We felt so very welcomed in their home and even got to spend some time with them at an orchestra concert that we all went to! Jane and Colin treated us like friends sharing conversation, food, and drinks all together. It was such a great experience staying at their house and we hope to stay with them again in the future! Playing with their very sweet dog was a highlight, too!
Jane and Colin's home is so warm and welcoming! The first night they greeted me and my friend with home-brewed beer and good conversation. They have a lovely house with a cute guest bedroom (very comfy bed) and a calm, friendly German shepherd. It's only a 25 minute walk to our class on the Villanova campus, and the surrounding area is really nice too - cute shops and restaurants. Overall a wonderful stay!
The perfect locale for my trip to Villanova. Amazingly close to the train so very convenient. The highlight was spending a few hours sitting on the back deck and just chatting. Thanks for allowing me to stay!
Jane made me feel welcome on arrival and told me a couple of places I could go for breakfast.
It is local to Villanova University about a 20 minute walk so great if you don't have a car.
Provided a key to allow me to come back during the day.
Jane, Collin and of course the delightful Jackson were so welcoming - one feels very at home! They were so helpful with any inquiries and what a great location - walking distance to lovely restaurants, bookstores and shops in Bryn Mawr. It's also an easy walk to the train station. I loved everything about my stay with them - very "chill".
About the Host, Jane
We are two young professionals. Jane is a certified nurse midwife & Colin is a mechanical engineer. We love traveling, music, good food, craft beers, and our German Shepherd, Jackson.
Our top favorite travel destinations include: Tulum, Lake Wallenpaupack and San Francisco. We often find ourselves very comfortable on the couches watching: Parenthood, How It's Made, Mad Men, The Office or Arrested Development.
We love sitting on the back porch with a growler-full from one of our favorite local breweries: Troegs, Tired Hands, Victory, Yards or Stoudts.
We are happy to host you in our home. We'll make you feel comfortable but give you your space, as well. We'd be more than happy to give suggestions of things to do nearby and how to enjoy your stay.
If Jane happens to be on call when you stay, she may be in and out of the house at weird hours of the night - the timing of births is not always convenient! Apologies ahead of time for disruption of your peace/sleep!
