About this listing
Our home is a fantastic space in the heart of Tamarindo. We are bias, but with only a short walk to town or the beach, and a private updated home with pool, we feel we are in paradise every visit. We hope you will have an incredible experience!
This property is our home away from home. We just lowered our rate from $550 a night so take advantage! Tamarindo is a quaint surf village with many restaurants and things to do. Our house has a private main house with 2 one bedroom apartments available. While we rarely travel there with a car, we can help arrange transportation from the Liberia Airport to our property. Our place is a short 5 minute walk to the beach or into the city center. Great restaurants, bars, and surf are all at your finger tips.
Our place has onsite laundry, cable TV, Flat Panel TVS, wireless Internet, full kitchen, AC, Linens and towels, and all the amenities a traveler would need.
Other Things to Note
Update Jan 2016: We hope you have found the updated information above helpful. We have now owned and rented our property for the last 3 years. We have had some amazing experiences as owners, and some experiences that we have learned from. Casa Aigua is truly our home, and we hope that all guests understand we do the absolute best to continue to improve our property to enhance your experience. To that degree, our home is not a Four Season's resort. It has been our experience, that travelers who are looking for an incredible adventure, to explore Costa Rica, and to enjoy all of its magic are the travelers that are best suited for our home. Those who seek a more catered experience, should look to some of the all inclusive resorts in the area. Managing a home in Costa Rica, means you cannot just run to Target to get supplies, so we visit twice a year and show up with 6+ boxes full of supplies each trip. We continually bring new towels, linens, and housewares. In Dec 2015, we brought down all new coffee makers, towels, plates and glassware, silverware, some pillows, throw rugs, and bedding. We will always continue to make these efforts. Additionally, for the 2016 season, we added a brand new deck and privacy fence, a new outdoor wood burning grill, fresh paint, and all new stucco around the pool and grounds. These additions are in addition to previous upgrades: solar hot water heater in the main house, new couches in the main house, all new teak lounge chairs (built by Charlie), and new king bed in an apartment, new window coverings, all new tvs, upgraded internet service, and a new washer and dryer. (Our goals for 2016) Now updated 5/25/16 we added a custom built table suitable for 8, new sofa covers for both apartments to match the new couches in the main house, and we hope to add a new solar water heater for the guest house apartments by the 2017 travel season. We only mention these items to demonstrate our commitment to your experience.
Experiences we have learned from, include a recent stay from our family. Their only constructive criticism, was on the topic of our maid service. Our ladies do their best to clean our home and have it up to the standards many of us have. The hard water in CR, poses a challenge for shower glass and we continue to try to improve that process by bringing down supplies from the US. Understanding this, we hope you will find our place in excellent condition, but again if there is something that needs improved we will do our best to fix the situation. We have found that on day 1 people who visit still carry their stress from home, and they find things we should improve upon, but by day 3, they are relaxed and see the beauty and magic in CR and they do not want to leave! We will soon be traveling down for a 2 week stay mid 2016. We believe our house is in the best condition it has ever been in and we hope you love our home as much as we do. ~ Chad, Heather, and Calvin.
Please treat the house as you would your own.
