A mere 5-minute walk will take you to A soli 5 minuti a piedi the most famous monuments, like the cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore, Campanile di Giotto, the Baptistery, the Synagogue, Galleria degli Uffizi, the Church of Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and its magnificent Garden of (URL HIDDEN) or the city routes of bus services 06 or C2 will take you to the central square of Santa Maria Novella and the railway station in about 15 minutes and, again a few minutes away, on the boulevards, bus route 13 will take you to the picturesque Piazzale Michelangelo, from where you can enjoy one of the world's best known skylines. Additionally, bus route 7 takes you to Fiesole, a famous Etruscan hill with its own distinct beauty, affording panoramic views of Florence. Don't forget to allow a bit of time for shopping. Florence is renowned the world over for its artisan workshops and competitive production of exquisite fashion, jewelry and furnishings.
The entire historic center boasts the presence of major international brands and small boutiques that reflect traditional local workshops. The choice is URL HIDDEN ; parking can be difficult and expensive and is one of the biggest problems for us residents, hence, driving to our location in central Florence is not recommended. Walking or renting a bike is definitely preferable and cheaper, more fun and healthier. However, private parking is available a short walk away from the apartment, and I can help you find one or an alternative solution. I love travelling, and have always loved welcoming and meeting people. It will be my pleasure to provide assistance and information on what to see and do off the traditional tourist track, the simpler, more genuine restaurants and bars and less advertised local events so you can take away happy memories of this beautiful city and its people.
