Hello and thank you for stopping at my page! My name is Julie and this listing is for my two bedroom apartment nestled in the heart of the East Village. You will be located on a tree lined street, blocks away from the Farmer’s Market and Tompkin Square Park where you can enjoy the quirky life of the neighborhood while relaxing on a bench. You will be within a 5 minutes’ walk to the N/R and F trains that will take you anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens in no time. You will also be walking distance to Soho, the Lower East Side, Union Square and the West Village. My neighborhood is vibrant with artsy people, families, cool restaurants, bars, unique stores and let’s not forget Wholefoods! You'll find this peaceful apartment to be beautiful inside and out - a wonderful place to spend a day relaxing and enjoying the city life.
My place is VERY clean and features brick walls, a marble bathroom, stainless steel appliances (including a microwave), washer/dryer (yes! a rare object in a NYC apartment!). Each bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of closet space.

We stayed early April'15 and we loved New York, the Lower East Side, E 5th Street and we loved Julie's place. The apartment is situated in an area full of restaurants and bars where you can still buy a slice of pizza for a dollar or a cocktail for an awful lot more. Close to 3 different subway lines but still within walking distance of just about everywhere. We did walk around the area a lot and always felt safe (having a police precinct a few doors down doesn't hurt) and when the subway was flooded one night we walked home from Times Square. Katz Deli, the amazing Wholefoods store and the wonderful Tu-LU & Erin McKenna's gluten free bakeries were only a few blocks away. There were 4 of us staying and the apt is so well designed that we never felt cramped and we loved the high ceilings. As we had been traveling for 2 weeks before we arrived in NYC, the washer & dryer was a real bonus. Julie herself, couldn't have been more helpful answering our many questions. We would have had a great holiday in New York no matter where we stayed but Julie's place was the icing on a rather lovely (gluten free) cake. I can cope with anything as long I can get a good night's sleep and the bed's were perfect. As our trip was as much about spending quality time together as seeing NY, this is something we wouldn't have done in a hotel and could only have happened in a home. A tip for visitors is the 230 Fifth Roof Top Bar (230 5th Av & corner 27th) - arrive shortly before dusk or early in the evening before it gets too busy & enjoy the amazing views for the price of a drink. If you're going to stay you'll love the place but please don't tell everyone as we'd like to come back sometime! Thanks Julie
We had a fabulous 4 night stay with our two children. The apartment was fantastic and had everything we needed. It was in a great neighbourhood for cafes and restaurants, within walking distance to many of the sights within NYC but also only a short walk to the subway. Many thanks for our stay! We would definitely recommend.
Julie hat uns die Schlüssel zu ihrer sehr schönen und gepflegten Wohnung in NYC nach Hause geschickt, alles hat bestens funktioniert und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Comfy, nicely decorated and well situated EV apt. The beds were great! Street noise spilled into the front bedroom, but the air purifier/white noise machine worked great to mask it. Really enjoyed our stay here.
The appartment is perfect: quiet, well located, clean. Julie sent me the keys three weeks before our arrival in NYC that is super convenient.
The apartment was just as Julie described. The East Village is a great place to stay, and the apartment was wonderful. Everything you need at your finger tips and close to the subway. Great restaurants and cafes all around! I would definitely recommend Julie's apartment and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
This was the perfect home base for my friends and I and our theater marathon weekend in New York. The location ended up being particularly fortuitous due to its proximity to not only trains that provided easy access to Times Square, but also to the nearby Public Theater, where we tried our luck in the cancellation line for Hamilton. The space was exceptionally clean and bright, providing everything we needed. It is fairly small (as is any New York apartment--in fact it's probably big for a New York apartment) but there was plenty of space for 4 and we did not feel at all cramped. Each bedroom had an empty closet with room for clothes, and the storage drawers in the bathroom were a nice touch. We didn't use the kitchen, but it appeared to have all the necessities. The beds were extremely comfortable and left us well-rested.
Julie was very responsive as a host and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. She sent two sets of keys, which turned out to be essential, as we traveled separately in two groups, with several of us being delayed a day due to the bad weather. Having two sets of keys ensured our friend who made it in on time was able to get into the apartment and did not have to wait around to let us in.
I would definitely stay here again on a trip to New York. Thanks to Julie for a great stay!
