The Space

Hello and thank you for stopping at my page! My name is Julie and this listing is for my two bedroom apartment nestled in the heart of the East Village. You will be located on a tree lined street, blocks away from the Farmer’s Market and Tompkin Square Park where you can enjoy the quirky life of the neighborhood while relaxing on a bench. You will be within a 5 minutes’ walk to the N/R and F trains that will take you anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens in no time. You will also be walking distance to Soho, the Lower East Side, Union Square and the West Village. My neighborhood is vibrant with artsy people, families, cool restaurants, bars, unique stores and let’s not forget Wholefoods! You'll find this peaceful apartment to be beautiful inside and out - a wonderful place to spend a day relaxing and enjoying the city life.
My place is VERY clean and features brick walls, a marble bathroom, stainless steel appliances (including a microwave), washer/dryer (yes! a rare object in a NYC apartment!). Each bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of closet space.
I'd love to give you tips on places to eat and help you make the most out of your stay as a real New Yorker :)

  • Our time at Julie's place was perfect!!! My husband and I and another couple found the apartment to be very clean, well decorated, and in a great location. The apartment is on the third floor, but the stairs weren't a problem for us. Each bedroom was on opposite sides of the apartment so that was especially perfect for two couples. The apartment is within a few blocks of several subway stations and there are dozens of restaurants in the neighborhood. Julie made it extremely easy to stay there by mailing us our keys beforehand- which was especially convenient for our late night arrival. The cab ride from JFK was $60 w/tip and we used the Subway to get back to JFK- which was actually pretty easy and convenient. We highly recommend Julie's place to anyone looking to stay here!

  • We stayed in Julie's apartment in the East Village with our three children for four nights in April. Our experience dealing with Julie was extremely positive and she answered all our queries really quickly and gave us loads of information about the area. Check in/out is really seemless as Julie sent keys by fedex two weeks in advance. The apartment is exactly as described/photographed (really lovely) and was very clean and a hugh bonus when traveling with kids was a washer/dryer in the unit. The area is great with loads of restaurants and a WholeFoods supermarket just a few blocks away. We loved our stay in the East Village and would highly recommend Julie as a host and her beautiful apartment.

  • Nice apartment in the best place to live in NY: full of great restaurants and bars and not far from several subway stations.
We enjoyed our stay at Julie's apartement, that is really well equipped, with two comfortable bedrooms.
To communicate with Julie was a real pleasure.
    Thank you Julie!

  • I really have found a great place in East Village, that is the area where I prefer to stay when I come to New York (usually in march for the Allman Brothers concerts at Beacon Theatre and for St. Patrick's party at McSorley's !!!).
Every thing was like I've expected it should be, really clean.
Two good bedrooms with confortable queen beds, a living room with a big sofa, a small kitchen and a clean bathroom.
Plus, the building is close to the Police station, so no mess at all or people screaming in the night!
Not easy to find a place like that in the area.
And we had a good price too ...

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Julie's apartment. The place was wonderful- clean and comfortable. The two bedrooms were very nice with full beds, air purifiers and lots of closet space. The bathroom was nice and modern. The kitchen was great and though we didn't cook, we could have! The living room had good seating and a binder of info about restaurants and local stuff to do. Julie was very accommodating and was a great host. Highly recommended!!

  • Julie's apartment is great and has everything we needed. The apartment was comfortable and clean, the heating was efficient and the kitchen was nicely equipped.

Julie was a great host, from the day we did the reservation to the day we left, and also very kind and attentive. It was easy to communicate with her during our stay.

The neighborhood has a lot of nice restaurants, but if you prefer to cook, Whole Foods is a good option nearby. The subway is also located just a few blocks away.

I was very happy to stay in Julie's place and recommend it to anyone visiting NY.

  • The apartment was just as described--everything was clean and up-to-date with space to store our things. The keys came by mail, along with easy-to-follow instructions for getting in and out. Amazingly, we were able to find on-street parking for 3 days, moving the car nightly. The area is fun to explore with many restaurants and other conveniences. It would be helpful to provide guests who are new to the city with some basics on subway travel, which is the best way to get around. We would recommend the place and stay again. Julie was a great host!

  • Julie was an absolutely attentive and gracious host, and we really enjoyed our stay in her apartment.

The location is perfect - close to the Metro, and surrounded by great food, drinks, and some cool shopping as well.

We would definitely stay again and would like to give an extra special shotu out to Julie's housekeeper Petra who is an absolute legend.

    Thanks Julie!

  • Julie was a friendly, helpful and communicative host and responded quickly to our questions and needs. Her apartment is cozy, nicely furmished, and well-equipped, and the beds are great. Everything we needed was within walking distance, including the subway, plenty of restaurants, Whole Foods, and a liqour store with good, reasonably priced wines a few doors away. I'd recommend Julie's place to anyone wanting to stay in the East Village.

  • Julie's apartment is spacious, very clean and in a fantastic location. It's conveniently right by a 24 hour Rite Aid and close to a subway stop. Both bedrooms were extremely comfortable. They're located on opposite ends of the apartment for maximum privacy. My sister and I truly enjoyed our stay here and Julie was fantastic with her quick responses. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to my friends and I would love to stay here again the next time I'm back in NY. Thanks Julie!
