'It's a nice place to stay if on a budget and looking for a central location', according to one of my guests. River Thames, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Eye and romantic South Bank all within 10 -20 min walking distance.
All one night bookers please message me first before making a reservation. Thank you!!!
The interior is simple and old fashioned. There are no expensive gadgets, TVs or marble baths... However it is functional and sufficient.
Although the flat is on the small side the room is plenty big! The house is a three story block, brick built in 1930s. My flat is on the top floor, sorry but there is no elevator.
Also because of the flat being on the top floor water pressure is not as mighty as I could wish for. Although I'm told it's common all over London.
You will be sharing the kitchen and bathroom with another awesome next door airb&b guest or a couple. Both rooms have lockable doors.
I travel a lot and I might not be present at the time of your arrival. When I'm away I have a wonderful friend Michelle helping with running my airbnb.
Vauxhall is an inner city area of Central London in the London Borough of Lambeth.
South London is not as classy and glamorous as some north London neighborhoods, but we think we are definitely better;) Quiet, friendly and even closer to central London.
The nearest metro station is Vauxhall, it is 10 min walk from my apartment. Vauxhall is very well connected: London Underground, National Rail trains, and London buses are all available at Vauxhall station.
If you are landing in Heathrow I recommend taking the cheaper option and going by underground train instead of Heathrow Express. You first need to buy an Oyster card and top it up at least with 10GBP. Take Piccadilly line all the way to Green Park where you change to Victoria line and get off at Vauxhall station.
If you are landing in Gatwick it’s super great because you can get a ticket directly to Vauxhall (one change at Clapham Junction). The journey is around 45-60 min long.
If land in Stansted Airport take a bus to Victoria station, 1 hour 40min. Buses leave every 15min. At the Victoria underground station (which is situated nearby where your bus will stop) you should buy an oyster travel card and top it up by at least £10. Then take the Victoria line underground train to Vauxhall station (2 stops), around 7min of journey.
Fancy having your breakfast, brunch or dinner where Charlie Chaplin was a regular? The legendary QUEEN'S HEAD pub is just in front of the entrance to the apartment and as my guest you can enjoy a healthy 10% off every meal! One of the landlords was Charlie Chaplins uncle and he is known to have frequented here. The character of the Little Tramp hailed from this pub.

Because of the good reviews, me and my friend had high expectations. However it was not like we expected. We are sorry to give negative comments, but we feel like we paid for nothing. The place is not really clean, the beds are bad and there was no one to welkome us. Although we knew Eve was on a trip, there could have been a welcoming map or something to make us feel welcome. Maybe other People like the interior of the place, but I'm sure not everybody Will like it..
This place is all about location. Situated on the south bank just a few min walking distance from Big Ben and the London eye, it's a wonderfully located flat. Eve was very welcoming and was kind enough to point us in the direction of all the places we wanted to see. It's a nice place to stay if on a budget and looking for a central location.
A little gem, this place. It is tucked away in a fairly unprepossessing nook, but is only a few minutes' walk from the Thames, right opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The room was lovely: it's in a flat full of lovely vintage stuff, and we were very comfortable. Evelina was a lovely host, greeting us with cups of tea and friendly conversation. We felt very welcome and would certainly recommend her place. We hope to stay there again, as it suited our needs perfectly.
Eve is a great host, really friendly and helpful. There wasn't a thing I was missing during my stay. The room is very charming, and the location is just great.
Eve was a lovely host! A wonderful experience staying in her apartment and getting to visit with her. We can't say one negative thing about the experience. :-) we would definitely love to stay in Eve's apartment again in the future. Location is great also! Thank you for everything Eve and it was a pleasure meeting you!
We had a lovely time staying with Eve. The room was nice, clean and comfi. Awsome huge blankets =)
Evelina is super organised with everything. She was very nice and helpful with everything we asked her.
Very convenient room, and quick and efficient dealings with Eve.
A unique experience: Evelina's apartment is beautiful, cosy and unusually charming. I was staying in London just overnight, and it was a delightful alternative to a hotel: so much more character, in such an interesting location, near many great cafes, restaurants and pubs (not to mention its proximity to the Southbank). Evelina is a great, thoughtful host.
Lovely place, really cozy, close to the Thames and Big Ben - can totally recommend it to everyone wanting to explore London!
We had a very good time in this charming apartment 10 minutes of walk from big ben!
