We had a wonderful stay at Leo's home. We were traveling by bike, and he let us keep our bikes safely in his garage. The room was comfortable and Leo was very hospitable. The neighborhood was great, we felt very safe. We would definitely stay there again when in the area!
Leo was very welcoming, offering access to all the amenities of his home. The bedroom was comfortable and very private. I never noticed the guests in the second bedroom down the hall. Leo provided fresh-cut roses and filtered water in the bathroom. I loved the front patio garden. I would've used it if it hadn't been so cold outside.
It's in a residential area, which was pleasant for going for a morning jog or sitting in the garden. It was close to Monterey Street, but a bit far of a walk from the "downtown" area of Monterey Street. The house has off-street parking and I really appreciated being able to park my car right in front of the house.
I certainly had a better experience than my family staying at a hotel on Monterey Street and for half the price. I'd highly recommend Leo's for a party of 2 or 4, or even on your own.
Leo has a beautiful home in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. He lives close to downtown SLO and the Splash Cafe. The house is impeccably clean. We especially enjoyed his outdoor patio and his cat, Lucy.
Great place and very nice neighborhood. Leo was very gracious. It was a perfect location for us being so close to Cal Poly.
We were also impressed with how immaculate the house was!
Leo's friendly relaxed welcome soon has you feeling right at home...and an excellent home it is too!
The accommodation is spacious, very comfortable, and clean, with great views across the countryside. There are also some unusual pieces of furniture and paintings, which offset the modern decor, along with a small friendly snake.
Leo is more than happy to help with recommendations for local restaurants and onward travel information.
All in all my wife and I would highly recommend Leo's house as a great place to stopover, particularly if you are enroute from LA to SF.
Leo was very welcoming and his home was wonderful. He was nice enough to offer me and my boyfriend coffee/tea and toast for the mornings and leave us water in our room. The rooms were very well kept and clean. Privacy was not an issue, the two guest rooms are separated by a hallway and you are staying upstairs away from the rest of the house. You also can't ask for a better location. Just a short walk to downtown (about 15 minutes) and close to the freeway. If you are sensitive to noise, you can hear cars driving from 101, but it is very light noise. Overall I would definitely recommend staying at Leo's and would come back myself the next time I am in SLO.
We enjoyed every minute of our visit to Leo's beautiful home. It is located in a quiet neighborhood only a 10 minute walk from downtown SLO. Leo's home is comfortable, immaculate, and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed privacy in our room on the second floor, but were also able to enjoy a glass of wine with Leo on his wonderful front patio. Leo was friendly, knowledgable about things to do in the area, and extremely interesting. We will be back for sure!

Have lived in San Luis Obispo for 30 years, where I enjoy going to eateries and artistic events that include music, plays and readings. The Downtown and Cal Poly State University are less that a half-mile from my house. Also enjoy biking to the beach at Avila, Montana de Oro, etc. Traveled to parts of the US and Europe, and am looking forward to venturing to the Asian areas. I own Cuesta Geotechnical, a company that specializes in cleaning toxic waste in the air, soil and groundwater. This fits well with my desire to protect our amazing Central Coast region. I am excited to share my home, my cat, and this special place with visitors.
