Apartment MARKO is a stand alone apartment placed in a charming family house in Sreser, Peljesac. You will find there a bedroom with one double and one single bed, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and small dining area. There is also a sofa that can be extended into double bed. The apartment has a balcony with a sea view. In the rest of he house there are 4 more apartments for rent.
Sreser lies on the northern side in the center of the Pelješac peninsula, some 30 kilometers west of Ston. It was originally a fishing settlement and its inhabitants have traditionally lived off of agriculture, wine growing and fishing, while nowadays tourism is becoming more and more important. There are sandy and pebble beaches in Sreser, as well as concrete swimming areas. If you prefer rocks, you can go the bays nearby. The place is great for a quiet holiday because, apart from untouched nature, there is one restaurant, bar and grocery store in the place itself. We recommend the surroundings for those who like to go for walks and all of those interested in century old settlements and their traditions.
I stayed two nights in Goran's apartment in March 2014, and it was a pleasure. Goran was very helpful and friendly, sending us an email with all important details prior to our trip. Goran's father welcomed us at the apartment and ensured that we were all settled in well. The apartment was clean and very charming, we absolutely loved the attic area! It is a fifteen minute walk to the Old Town, but a very easy one (though not when battling coastal winds and rain). The supermarket just right downstairs was very convenient as well. Great value for an apartment in Dubrovnik. The apartment was a little chilly but there were ample thick blankets and duvets. All in all we had a great time!
March was a great time to visit beautiful Dubrovnik and I was happy to stay in a nice house halfway between the port/bus station and the old town. Goran's father kindly waited for me to let me in and familiarise me with the place.
I stayed in the loft section, which had more light, and you could see the ocean, between the buildings.
Better to plan on walking to town (20 mins, quite nice) as the bus timetables are absolutely unintelligible to anyone but locals! I bought a bus pass but soon realised it was almost useless, as the bus info people won't tell you any routes or times. So save yourself the hassle and plan to walk! :-)
Goran and his father were both great hosts. They made certain that everything went smoothly, even calling the internet provider to get the wifi up and running. The apartment has a great area upstairs that my daughter thought reminded her of a club house. Plenty of places to sleep and a nice balcony with an ocean view. It was very convenient to have a grocery store right on the bottom floor of the apartment. The best part was being so close to a beautiful beach and enjoying the amazing views as you walk along the cliffs edge into the old town. Dubrovnik was beautiful and the season was perfect to not have a bunch of tourists around, but nice weather and the streets to ourselves.
Perfect holidays in beautiful Croatia! This apartment is very nice, clean, cozy and really big enough for a family with three children. Our children loved the room under the roof, for the baby even a travel cot was prepared. Very good to have a washing machine, towels and bed linnen in the apartment. Perfect service, they even provided us with toys for the kids, every request was answered very quickly, the shuttle from/to the airport was great to have.
Central position of the apartment, close to a pebble beach and also close to the centre of Dubrovnik. Even with the children we did not need more than 15 minutes to the centre. Also close to the harbour, you can find restaurants and shops in a short walking distance. But the location is absolutely quiet, after 9 p.m. you do not hear anything.
We will come again for sure.
loved this apartment. large, airy. well located. small grocery store in the building which served our needs. everything was immaculate and worked well. wonderful to have a washing machine after a week of travel.
owner was very easy to work with.
Fantastic!! Goran (and his dad Pero) have a great apartment in an excellent location. The apartment is clean, modern, well appointed and very spacious. It's close to local shops, ATM and the bus stop, short walk to 3 incredible ocean swimming spots (2 lane ways either side of Sun Hotel), and a pleasant 20minute (max) walk to the main gate of the old city. Goran and his dad speak excellent English and reply to emails super quick. A great spot.. it couldn't have been easier for a new tourist to the city. I would stay there again in a second!!! The 4 of us - my mother, elderly aunty, young daughter and myself had a wonderful time at Gorans' place. Very highly recommended.
Great stay in Goran's apartment! His sister and mum picked us up from the airport and were really helpful and got us settled in nicely :) If u stay here def have a drink at nearby hotel- their terrace is gorgeous. Also have cocktails at the Art Bar on way to old town (it breaks up the walk nicely). We would def stay here again. Plenty of space and was very clean and tidy and communication with Goran was really good via email. The little beach near by was also lovely. Thank u! Ashley and Evan :)
Très bon accueil, appartement agréable et confortable, proche du bord de mer et situé à environ quinze minutes de la veille ville.
Nous avons effectué un excellent séjour.
