Set amongst camelias and natives in a rustic and developing garden. Surrounded by Taranaki dairy farms, overlooked by the magnificent Mt Taranaki.

45 minute drive from New Plymouth unless you stop in trendy Oakura or have a coffee in the quaint Okato.

Ten-minute drive to the vibrant, seaside town of Opunake with its local cafes, Boutique movie Theatre, swimming and fishing beaches.
Take a 5-minute drive to Manihi beach, walk on the sandy, wild west coast and enjoy the peace and solitude.

The space
A private room for two, with kitchenette and own bathroom/toilet facilities.
Free parking is available to the right of the house and you have your own entrance.

Guest parking on the concrete which is sign posted., to the right of the house.

Other things to note
If you enjoy star gazing, take advantage of a cloudless sky and wander into the paddock on the right of the drive way. The security light will come on. Go through the gate and you might see the small platform you can lie on and watch the amazing satellites and shooting stars.

P.s we listened to what one of our guests suggested and thought a air fryer would be of benefit. So above the kitchenette is a air fryer. The microwave is also still there.

Busy working dairy farming community. The Tasman sea 5 minutes away. Take your pick of beaches stretching out along the Surf Highway 45, including the renown Stent Rd, The Kumara Patch and Maniha Rd. All offering the opportunity to relax and unwind. The mighty Mount Taranaki dominates the region, a symbol of belonging and strength for all who call Taranaki home.

We are actively encouraging native birds such as Piwakawaka (Fantails), Tui, Kereru (Wood pigeon) and the Tauhou (Silvereye) to call our garden home. You may also notice some of our larger visitors circling the skies above as the Harrier Hawks search for field mice, and sparrows.

Watch as the sun dips below the horizon and is replaced by the deepest black nights abundant with sparkling stars.
