The Space

Please send a message (along with your booking) telling a little about your stay here on the island, as well as your estimated time of arrival to the house.
Mahalo (Thank you)

This bright and airy room has a large mirrored closet and a desk. The two single beds and can be booked for either one or two people. The bathroom that you will be using is shared and equipped with a hair dryer.

The bedroom is located in a large 2,800 sq ft home with vaulted ceilings and mountains views. All bedrooms are on the ground floor allowing for an extremely spacious, open plan upstairs that includes the kitchen, living room, and dining areas. Upstairs you will also find a lanai complete with seating area and gas BBQ.

Guest Access

Note that although you are booking a single bedroom and not the entire home, you will have use of the kitchen, dining areas, living room, lanai (balcony), BBQ, and laundry facilities.

Interaction with Guests

My schedule is flexible, so I do my best to be home to welcome every guest and show them upon checking in. I live here too, so will generally be available to talk with or answer any questions guests may have. It's common for myself and other guests to hangout together upstairs in the open plan kitchen/living/dining area.

The Neighborhood

The house is conveniently located with just a 5 minute walk to Princeville Center where you can find shops, restaurants, a bus stop, supermarket, gas station, post office, library, park, banking facilities, and more. There is a volleyball court, basketball court, and large green area literally right next door to the house and you will find beaches, hikes, surf spots, and other outdoor activities within half a mile.

Princeville is home to the #1 rated golf course in Hawaii and is located on over 350 acres of fairways, trees and stunning ocean and mountain views. The closest hole is just a block away.

Getting around

I would highly recommend renting a car while visiting Kaua'i. There is a public bus service that stops just 5 minutes walk away from my house, but if you are wanting to explore beaches, snorkeling spots, and hikes, you will not be able to do so using the bus as it only stops in towns.

  • Robbie and his home in Princeville was wonderful! The house is perfectly laid out for privacy and convenience. We had fun cooking in the kitchen, as well as having easy access to lots of dining and recreational options. It is a short drive to Hanalei Bay and almost walking distance from Robbie's home is a shopping center with everything you, hardware, restaurants, etc. Our room with two twin beds was lovely and roomy, with the bathroom right next door. I would definitely stay with Robbie again and recommend his home to anyone traveling to Kauai.

  • The house is really spacious and located in a quiet road, just 5min walk from Princeville Center with food store, restaurants, etc. The house is a great place to meet other people from all over the world and share the adventured spots. Allie and Robbie have good tips and hints on the island..just ask them! The Kauai Guide Booke provided in the room was very helpful too! A perfect house to relaxe, go and discover the amazing island. I had a great time and I would definitively go back if I have the chance to! Mahalo and enjoy!

  • We had a nice time staying at this space... competitively priced and nice location if you want to be on the north shore. The space was clean, people friendly and nice big kitchen which made cooking really enjoyable! We even watched a NetFlix movie on their account one night in the large living room.

The only drawbacks were that Allie told us before we came that the two twin beds could be pushed together, and that they had a mattress topper that would make it into one big bed. However, when we arrived, apparently they don't actually have this, so we had to spend the first few nights of our honeymoon on separate beds, which wasn't ideal, but we knew we booked this room with 2 twin beds, so I guess that was partially our risk. Still, I am sensitive to wrongfully created expectations, so that was a bit of a let-down. The only other drawback was parking. There is room for 4 cars at any given time, but if you arrive late at night (as we did) and park in the only remaining spot, you might have another guest waking you up at 6:30am on the first morning of your stay, asking you to move your car (also as we did.) Or if you have somewhere to be at a particular time in the morning, you'll be stressed all evening hoping you can tetris your cars with guests you've yet to meet, to ensure that you won't be blocked-in in the morning. I'm not sure there is a solution to this problem, since street parking in this neighborhood isn't allowed, but it is a little cumbersome.

Overall though we had a nice stay, and would recommend it, simply letting people know of these comments above.

  • Want to know what paradise looks like?! Than stay at Robbie and Allie's place.

They are absolutely amazing! Such kind, loving, and helpful people that it's hard to describe in words what a great experience I had. They made my stay in Kauai even more special! This was my first AirBnB experience, but they made sure to make me feel as comfortable as possible even prior to meeting them. My flight arrived late at night, yet Robbie and Allie were still up for me to make sure I settle well and have everything I needed. Every day they went above and beyond what hosts would do, which made my stay with them an absolute heaven. One day Robbie even picked grapefruits for the house from his garden :) They told me about the best hidden gems that exist on the island, which only locals know about. If you want the best vacation, stay here! Incredible!

Their home is better than even the pictures show. Reminded me of a paradise. It is very spacious, quiet and clean with a beautiful garden outside. I felt so relaxed there that some days sleeping in my room was better than sightseeing. The place has everything you need to enjoy your stay to the fullest, even including beach towels, BBQ, body boards, basketball, snorkelling equipment, etc. So you are definitely getting more for your buck when you book this place! The neighbourhood is perfect for your stay in Kauai, because it's close to everything, including the mall, grocery store, Hanalai Bay, and other big attractions of the island. You will get the best of Kauai by staying here.

Robbie & Allie, you guys made my vacation unforgettable! Thank you so much :)

  • I loved this place! After flights from SF, we were greeted by Allie at the front door. She showed us around and gave us some tips and highlights. The place was great and super clean. My friend and I kicked back one of the nights and watched a netflix movie in their family room with surround sound. The location is perfect! I enjoyed using it as a base to explore the north part of Kauai. They are located a street down from grocery stores and ice cream shops. Allie was super communicative and great when coordinating over text messages to meet up. I look forward to staying at their place again!

  • Allie was a wonderful host! Just the perfect amount of privacy, but Allie was always available with questions we had on the area. The house is beautiful, clean and spacious. Loved waking up to the sound of nature every morning!

  • We had a great time during our 10 days at Allie's house in charming Princeville. It was spotlessly clean with huge amount of privacy and the location is awesome - north side of Kauai is absolute paradise. Allie was wonderful host - very kind and helpful :) Don't go to Oahu or Maui - stay at this magical place - we really regret we could not stay longer.

I've been living on Kauai for about two years now and absolutely love it here. After having lived in many different places around the world, this is the first place that I have ever considered settling down. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, cooking, playing the drums, reading good books, beaching, working out, building things, working on my jeep, or just spending quiet time at home.
