With large south facing, sunny, double windows, the apartment enjoys a view across the city centre roof tops and church spires to the hills beyond. This cosy and very comfortable apartment has been recently renovated to a high standard and provides everything you need. The accommodation is situated on the first floor in a traditional scottish 'tenement' building and is accessed via a secure communal entrance.

The apartment is a minute's walk away from many restaurants, cafes and shops including Marks and Spencers Food Hall and in the other direction, a great Deli.

We love that the neighourhood is so quiet and yet so close to the everything the city centre has to offer and with easy access to beautiful scenery too!
Free parking is provided with use of a permit outside the property. There is easy access to bus/trains/excursions and car hire nearby.

Please do not depart with the parking permit!
We had a great time at Brae Apartment. It was in a perfect location and we had no trouble getting car parks. Alison was very helpful in contacting John to come and greet us, when my phone connection wasn't working. John was great in showing us around the apartment and the book of things to do in the area was useful to us.
We enjoyed our stay in Inverness. John met us at the apartment and showed us around the place. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The location is great; close to the city centre and transportation.
Overall a positive stay here, communication was good, was able to arrange check in easily. The location is very central and close to/easily walkable to the train station and downtown. The building is older and bit dark and drab but felt safe enough. The apartment is simple and no-frills but comfortable, clean, light, and remarkably quiet -- no noise from other tenants. Serviceable kitchen area, very comfortable mattress, I enjoyed the radiant heating set up and being able to look out the windows across the neighboring rooftops in the evening. Reliable wifi connection.
Only real negative experience was with parking -- St. Stephens Brae itself (right outside the building) is a narrow, one-way, dead end lane that goes right up to Eastgate Mall and M&S. There's probably room for 6-7 (small) cars of on-street parking. It's very convenient in terms of walking, but I found that during the day non-residents would park on St. Stephens and fill up the spots while they darted into the mall or grocery to run errands. There didn't seem to be much parking enforcement. That crowd seemed to taper off in the evening after 6-7 pm, but I had one experience (albeit on a Saturday) where the closest street parking spot at 4pm I could find after a day of sightseeing was about 5 blocks away, and I had to then go back out and move the car that night down to St. Stephens once cars had thinned out. Obviously a non-issue for people that don't have a car, and not a reflection on Alison's unit per se, just a heads up.
Thank you Matt. We are grateful for your positive feedback about our apartment and that you found it quiet. As explained in our advert, the apartment block is a traditional building and is typical of the style of tenements in Scotland. There are internal lights which come on automatically on the stairs at night and yes it is very safe. I would not describe the street as a dead end as such, rather the street turns into a pleasant pedestrian walk way down into the centre of town! You are the first person to comment on problems with parking in two years. We are sorry you experienced parking problems but it is so close to the town it is a prime spot but we will certainly keep an eye on this and contact the council.
We recently enjoyed a delightful visit to Inverness from the comfort of Brae Apartment. The location of the apartment could not be better for access to the main part of town - it was literally at the bottom of the street - so the Eastgate shopping centre, Inverness main street and the river & walks were all at the door. We were met at the flat by Morag, who explained all the features of the apartment which are designed to help you have a happy holiday. There were many helpful hints about local eateries etc., left by our host Alison - which really made us feel at home. This was our first airbnb experience - what a great way to start! Louise
The flat is in a great, central location, very close to the train station. It was a very comfortable stay, and Alison provides a comprehensive guide for guests with everything from dining to tour suggestions.
Location terrific - entrance to the Eastgate Shopping Mall just round the corner - ideal for a shopping spree. Variety of eating places within easy walking distance of the apartment. Apartment was clean, compact yet comfortable and with all the usual facilities.
Our host was away and was unable to welcome us - however, her representative Morag did a super job of making us welcome, including putting some lovely fresh flowers in the lounge.
We had a car and there was no problem with parking using the provided permit.
For a city centre location, the apartment was remarkably quiet.
We very much enjoyed our 3 day stay in Inverness.
We were met by our hosts husband, and tho we were late arriving we were made very welcome and quickly checked in. The apartment was clean and comfortable and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing.

We are new to hosting since May 2013 and I will deal with your booking. My husband John will meet you when you arrive and will not be far away if you need any help or advice. We have stayed in many holiday apartments and houses over the years and we are therefore very keen to ensure that what you see is what you get, because we think that is very important. We are happy to answer any questions and we look forward to welcoming you to Inverness!
