staying at Braham's apartment was my and my boyfriend's first experience with Airbnb. all the communication from Braham's
side before our trip (regarding check-in, getting to the apartment and all the other details related to staying at his place)
was fast - Braham replied very fast and was very responsive. in a timely manner just before our trip Braham informed us
that his brother will come to meet us at the apartment and give us keys and show us around the apartment. Braham's brother
waited for us although we were a bit late due to metro etc. he was very friendly and informed us about all the stuff we need -
everything about apartment, also about nearest shops etc. after that the place was all ours. Braham's brother also
encouraged us to contact him if we need something more etc.
the neighbourhood was fine, it was very close to metro station (about 5-10 minutes walk), there were very many
restaurants, bakeries, some grocery shops and everything else you would need just within a few minutes or even seconds
walk from the apartment. there were also quite many pubs, bars in the neighbourhood, but it did not get too loud at night
if we wanted to stay at the apartment and go to sleep early.
we loved that the apartment was just 5 minutes walk from the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur.
the apartment was very small as described, but cozy and ok for a couple who stayed there for one week and was mostly
out discovering Paris etc.
the only minus/disadvantage was that the apartment was not completely clean/tidy when we moved in, but on the other hand
we got fresh bed sheets and towels etc., which was very nice.
bed was comfortable. kitchen and bathroom was separated from the rest of the apartment with a curtain, which was completely ok
for us, but others maybe would like to have a bigger privacy (when going to wc or taking a shower).
a day before our last day Braham sent me a message and checked if everything was going fine, as well as wished us to enjoy the last day in Paris, which was really nice.
we left very early (just before 5 am on a Saturday morning) in order to catch our flight back, so we agreed with Braham
that we would leave the keys of the apartment in his mailbox. after leaving we communicated with Braham through
Airbnb messaging system and thanked him for a warm welcome and everything.
In conclusion, everything went smooth and fine - we enjoyed staying at Braham's apartment, and would totally recommend him as a host
and his apartment for everyone. thank you, merci Braham! :)
The check in process was very good, braham's brother let us in and showed us around. The place is small, specially once you take out the bed. There was a problem with the sink for a couple of days but that got fixed. It was also unusually hot in paris and we think there should be a fan for such occasions, there was a heater in sight. The location was very good and Montmartre is beautiful.
I cannot recommend Braham's place highly enough! I spent a month here, and had a wonderful time. It's a small place, but cozy and very comfortable. I spent all of June here and found it very cool and pleasant even on vey hot days. Braham was very, very sweet - my plans changed and I wound up needing to spend an extra day in Paris, and he was super-generous about helping accommodate that. The neighborhood is perfect - bustling, but not too busy and not very touristy, with lots of supermarkets, bakeries, etc. within just a few blocks.
Really great location in a cool neighbourhood, not too touristy but safe enough to walk around at night and close to lots of metro stations / lines. The place is really small and doesn't really have a door between toilet / shower / kitchen / living space, so if you're not travelling alone you need to be comfortable doing your bathroom stuff around your companion! The bed is really comfortable though and it's a quiet building so easy to get a good night's sleep. Would recommend if you're looking for something affordable and you'll be spending most of your time out seeing the sights!
First experience with Airbnb.
The studio is very small but finally it was very comfortable. For a week it was quite good. We could cook our own meal, even if there's only an electric cooker. The kitchen is very close to the toilet which also is really small. We didn't manage to meet Braham but we found her sister Monia with a friend of her, who gave us the keys of the appartement on the first day. Even if we took the wrong metro and ended up arriving a little late she waited for us and was very kind. When we left we simply put our keys inside the mailbox. The surroundings are very quiet even if it's Montmartre cause it's five minutes away from the eventful area, which is a little bit on the top. It was close to a Carrefour supermarket and also a Franprix wasn't too far.
We didn't stay home too much, though.
An advice for future travelers: we found out that the metro station of Château Rouge was more comfortable for us to use.
Finally, I was seduced by the stereo system.
In few words: wonderful holiday, wonderful surroundings, and little studio, yes, but very comfortable and with the right atmosphere and style. Especially if you won't stay home too much.
