We are a small beach-front lodge. Under the current Covid-19 pandemic we are making some changes and making some of our property Self-Catering, to improve health and safety for all. It is a relaxed and tranquil place, with the sea and an amazing silvery sand coral reef environment. You'll love our natural environment and sea views. Due to the coral reef, the sea here is incredibly child-friendly. Adults and children alike feel at home here.

The space
Panga Chumvi is located on this most beautiful, still unspoilt, powdery white sand beach on the northeast coast of Zanzibar. We welcome guests to share the peaceful beauty and tranquility of this stunning location. There are currently simple and stylishly comfortable rooms - in 3 lodges. Each room faces out on to its own wide veranda, has a sea or a tropical garden view, and is furnished with traditional hand-crafted coconut wood furniture. The Bungalow (changed to self-catering): rooms all facing the sea have been specially designed with cool natural ventilation. Banda: rooms over-looking and view down the beach; one has a large covered veranda right on the sea-front. Baharini: 2 rooms on the beach-front (with AC if required). You can book one room or several with your friends or family. Please note that the Beachside rooms are more expensive because of their position.

Guest access
Access is to your bungalow, the beach(!), extensive garden area, arranging excursions if requested. Wi-fi: none currently - why not take a break from the world of technology? If you need it urgently, our staff will be able to advise you about mobile bundles for Zanzibar.

Other things to note
Bring aqua shoes for fascinating walks out to the reef at low tide - there are quite a few sea urchins. High tide comes well over the sandy area and therefore its not an issue at all then.
