I have the separated and self-contained front half of my home available for travelers - and I live in the back half.
It is located in the heart of vibrant Ponsonby and has a sunny north-facing aspect with the house enjoying all day sun.
The separate bedroom has double-glazed windows and a comfortable queen-size bed. The sofa in the lounge can comfortably sleep a third person as it has a matching footstool that extends it to bed length. The surface is comfortably firm.
There is a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, mirror de-misters and a wall heater. The loo is separate and off the bathroom.
The lounge opens onto a sunny front deck via tri-fold doors to a Japanese inspired garden, both of which are available for your sole use.
There is NO kitchen but there is a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Crockery and cutlery (flatware) are also provided. However with Ponsonby Road and the famous Dizengoff Cafe an easy 2 minute walk away, you will be spoilt for great cafe and restaurant options. The Nosh gourmet food market is a one minute walk away for food supplies.
There is free parking, with no time restrictions, on the street which is usually available but it is in high demand on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights when people come to Ponsonby to dine and socialise. But with most things being within walking distance or easily accessible by the nearby public transport links, having a car is not essential here.
- Historic residential neighbourhood.

I hope that during your stay you will enjoy all the best that Ponsonby has to offer; great coffee (Dizengoff, Salta etc.), great food (Cocoro, Ponsonby Bistro, El Sizzling Chorizo etc.), vibrant night-life (Golden Dawn, Bonita etc.), heritage architecture (Leys Institute, Ponsonby Post Office, Artstation etc.), the relaxed lifestyle, the historic wooden homes and gardens, some of New Zealand's best shopping (Flotsam and Jetsam, The Vitrine, World beauty store, Karen Walker, Workshop, Zambesi etc.), proximity to the harbour (Jacobs ladder, the Wynyard Quarter, the Viaduct Basin etc.), beautiful walks (Western Park, Cox's Bay, Franklin Road etc.) and easy accessibility to everything.
This is a wonderful place to base yourself during your stay in Auckland and I look forward to hosting you here soon.
The 'Link bus' stops right at the top of the street which is a 2 minute stroll away. This connects to the Britomart transport hub at the bottom of Queen Street as well as doing an inner city circuit loop. The buses travel in both directions and the stops include Newmarket, the Auckland Domain and Museum (a short walk) Downtown, Parnell, Auckland University etc. Ponsonby has many pleasant urban walks and connects to the waterfront via a new pedestrian over bridge across the motorway. This is a great walk along Ponsonby Road and St Marys Bay Road. The Wynyard Quarter connects via Te Whero pedestrian bridge to the Viaduct Basin and further along to the Britomart Quarter. An easy 20 - 30 minute walk that's mostly all downhill. Simply jump on the Link bus to get home or alternatively hail a cab to bring you back up the hill to the Ponsonby Ridge line.
The motorway ramps are all very close and easy to access in all directions.
An additional one-off tariff of $20 will apply if the sofa bed is made up, even if there are only two people staying, as this is a linen service fee.
Please note the property is unsuitable for young children.

Clean and tasteful apartment in a great location. Jen is a warm host who made us feel very welcome.
Jennifer's apartment is exceptional. She was kind enough to wait for me late on a week night to show me the apartment and explain how everything worked. The location is great and I was amazed at how quiet the place was. I would not hesitate a second to book Jennifer's apartment when I'll come back to Auckland.
We loved our stay at Jennifer's place. The apartment was beautifully designed, immaculate clean and in the perfect location in an artsy neighborhood of Auckland (Ponsonby). We enjoyed walking around the bars, restaurants, cafes, little shops, all nearby. Jennifer was a super host, very friendly, helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who is seeking a unique experience. We could have paid a premium and stayed at one of the nice hotels in downtown but we would have missed out on an experience. If you are an independent minded traveler, this is your place and don't even hesitate to book. I spend 250+ nights in a hotel room per year and I would book Jennifers place again (and again). And again!
The perfect place to stay in Auckland! Great location. Wonderful accommodations. Beautiful furnishings. Private, light filled, garden facing -- I could have moved right in for good. Jennifer too, was a great host making the whole experience easy-peasy. I can't say enough. This was such a better choice than a CBD hotel. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in this city. Trust me on this.
Great location and fantastic place! Very clean and comfortable.
So perfect in every way. Aesthetically pleasing and peaceful environment. Jennifer's attention to detail is top notch. Excellent communication and rapid responses. The folder was full of clear useful inormation. Privacy was appreciated but nice to meet Jennifer briefly. Look forward to staying again and am already recommending to friends and family.
Jennifer's place was perfectly clean, comfortable, well designed, well equipped and in a most desirable location just off Ponsonby road which has many great restaurants, cafes and bars. Jennifer is easy to communicate with. And although we only met once I can tell she is a generous host by how much effort is put into ensuring her place is comfortable and convenient for her guests. A well prepared folder with tips on what to see and where to
eat was very much appreciated. I love to stay at Jennifer's place again when ever I am back in Auckland.
Jennifer's flat is only a few steps, literally--it's about 200 feet max, from Ponsonby (email hidden)ly upscale street with interesting shops and many, many restaurants. The flat itself is quite comfortable, with its own entrance and shaded landscaped garden and deck. The interior is tastefully decorated, with an especially nice shower. Although the flat lacks any kitchen facilities, there is a tea/coffee step-up in the living area and a stainless steel sink next to the washer/dryer set up in the bathroom. We stayed two nights and had an enjoyable time in Aukland. We met Jennifer and found her an especially accommodating host. She let us store our luggage all day on our last day and even arranged a car to take us to the airport at about 50% of the charges we paid to go from the airport to her flat when we arrived at the airport.
Jennifer and her place are fantastic! Her apartment is clean, quiet, comfortable, and very close to amazing shopping and eating. The outdoor space is perfect, calm, relaxing, sunny with shady spots, completely private. Jennifer is very kind and pleasant to rent from. This apartment is very popular, so book early. You won't be disappointed.
Jennifer's place is a very cool designed gem in the center of Ponsonby. It is very cosy and nice little details such as pictures or collectibles made us feel like home immediately. All important items such as the quality of the bed, bed linen and comfortable shower exceeded our expectations. Because of all the nice little Cafes and Restaurants, you actually do not need more than the teamaking facilities & fridge provided. We loved sitting on the outside terrace and enjoying the calm atmosphere right next to the lively neighbourhood of Ponsonby Road. Jennifer herself was a very nice host, great and fast communication, waited for us on the first day and provided some perfect recommendation for dining out etc. We would recommend her place to everyone travelling to Auckland- it will be perfect! It was also the place with the fastest internet connection, we ever had in NZL ;-)
