Bruny Island has a lot to offer the traveller from taking an eco-boat cruise with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys to take in the magnificent scenery, spot some whales (in season), watch the dolphins and seals.
There is abundant gourmet food on the Island starting with BISH (Bruny Island Smoke House) which is a licensed premises selling gourmet smoked salmon and local produce from the Island.
Then there is Get Shucked Oysters and the Bruny Island Cheese Factory often featured on the Gourmet farmer at Great Bay.
Adventure Bay hosts The Hot House Cafe, The Chocolate & Fudge Factory, The Berry Farm where you can pick you own fruit and enjoy fabulous lunches and views. The Penguin Cafe and a very well stocked General Store with ATM. Also in Adventure Bay is the Bligh Museum of Pacific Exploration which hosts an abundant wealth of information on the explorers who first set foot here.
Alonnah hosts Hotel Bruny the southern most hotel in Australia, also the only place to obtain a main meal of an evening. Just past Alonnah at Lunawanna is Bruny Island Premium Wines where you can have wine tastings as well as lunch.
The penguins are a large attraction on Bruny Island which can be viewed at dusk on The Neck.
