Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Drift off to the sound a a babbling brook outside the bay window in this cozy country cottage. Take a hike in a protected forest right outside your door or head to downtown Williamstown and North Adams for amazing museums, theaters, dance, music, and restaurants.

The space
There is a parking space at the end of the driveway near the cottage marked by a red wagon. A stone path leads to the cottage from the space. Please don't park on the lawn near the cottage as that could damage the septic tank.

The cottage is best for a solo traveler, couple, or two friendly adults. There is a queen bed and bathroom with a small stall shower. It is cozy and there is not a lot of room for privacy. It’s like a nice-sized hotel room.

There is no kitchen and the mini-fridge does not have a freezer. If you need ice, please let us know and we are happy to provide it. There is no microwave and the electrical service cannot accommodate one.

We provide mugs, coffee, tea, and sugar but you will need to BYO milk or cream if you want it.

We ask you not to smoke in the house or anywhere on the property.

We supply shampoo and conditioner and there is a blow dryer in the top of the closet.

There are window coverings for privacy but no room-darkening shades and two large windows are uncovered. If you need a dark space for sleeping, we recommend you bring an eye mask.

We leave the cottage unlocked. There is a key hanging on the hook near the door if you feel the need to lock it when you go out. If you do use the key please make sure to leave it. There is a $100 charge for a missing key.

The cottage is heated by a propane stove. It is not a gas fireplace with a switch that turns it on and off, rather the "fire" goes on and off as the cottage needs heat and is controlled by the thermostat.

We ask you to join in our efforts to reduce waste and help the planet by not bringing plastic water bottles to the cottage. The tap water is not just potable but delicious. Please bring a refillable bottle or let us know if you cannot and we will supply a clean refillable bottle for you.

Due to a member of the household who suffers from cynophobia, we are unable to accommodate dogs, including assistance or emotional support dogs. Airbnb is aware of this and has made an exception to their assistance animal policy in recognition of this household member's phobia. Thank you for your understanding.

We believe in using our money to buy experiences not things. We've visited 5 continents, many countries, and most of the United States, but wouldn't want to call anywhere but Williamstown home. The Berkshires are the most naturally beautiful and culturally rich place in the world and we are happy to share this piece of heaven with other travelers. When away from home we aren't as interested in luxury and amenities as we are in good value, great meals, and memorable experiences.

During your stay
We are usually around if you need assistance, but the cottage is a separate structure. Usually guests come and go as they please, enjoy the quiet, and do not really see us at all.
