This charming house is situated in the heart of Greensboro Village with expansive open meadow and mountain views. Just a couple minute walk to Caspian Lake's public beach and iconic Willey's General Store. Great for a visit to Hill Farmstead Brewery, Circus Smirkus, and Barr Hill and makes for a perfect rural get away.

The space
This village house is located in the heart of Greensboro, three buildings away from the famous Willey's general store, less than a 5 minute walk to the public beach of Caspian Lake and a couple miles to Hill Farmstead Brewery. This cozy house has a sweet dining and living area with central heat. On the ground floor there is a queen bed room with private deck out the back with sweeping views. The bathroom, next to the kitchen, has a white porcelain tub and a separate shower. There is also a sweet twin bedroom off the living room with it's own exterior entrance. Upstairs is a large open floor plan with two distinct sleeping areas. Two twin beds have been made into a king sized bed on one side of the upstairs. Another twin bed is separate with a TV, bookshelf and is a cozy sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric tea kettle and more. This location has a rural feel but has the convenience of being right in town which also includes the sounds of village life!

Willey's Store, a well known old fashion general store, sells groceries, Jasper Cellars cheese, Hill Farmstead beer, gasoline, a variety of local foods, clothes for all activities and a plethora of exotic hardware items and marks the center of Greensboro Village. Hill Farmstead Brewery is a couple miles away. Near by is the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. In the summer there is rowing and biking available and in the winter there is x-c skiing and skating (equipment rentals available). The Outdoor Center is also known for local sourced meals which are open to the public. Hardwick, the center of the locavore movement is just 6 miles away with restaurants that serve farm to table fare.

There are wonderful places nearby to walk, run, ski, hike or bike; and less than 1/2 a mile up the road you can play golf on a beautiful 9 hole golf course or tennis on one of the 7 red clay courts. The pristine Caspian Lake, is the heart of the area and features great swimming, boating and (ice) fishing.

It's not every day that one can stay in a little village house and experience a beautiful piece of paradise.

I am the fifth generation of my family to spend summers on Caspian Lake in Greensboro. It is a very special place, which I have deep affection for and where I decided to live year round and raise my three children. Over twenty years ago I bought and saved an old historic 1880s barn and converted the chicken coop, milk house, cow stalls etc. into our home, my studio and gallery. The Greensboro Barn and property is a labor of love and an extension of my creative work as an artist. It is surrounded by a large field, beautiful trees, berry bushes, flowers, vegetable gardens and a greenhouse, all of which provide me with endless and enjoyable projects. I paint with watercolors, make functional pottery and porcelain jewelry, which are for sale in my gallery open year round by chance or by appointment. I know this region and its people well and would be happy to host you on your next trip to the area. I know you will love it here too!
