The Space

If you're considering visiting the portland area or specifically lake oswego our home may be the right fit. whether you are coming for work or to pay a visit to friends or family, we are in a lovely part of town.
* work? we are a short drive to all the lake oswego office parks and conferences as well as downtown l.o..
* tourist? there is lots to do close by in the form of trails and parks, the lake, restaurants and shopping.
* visitor? if you are coming to visit any of the local schools or are thinking of relocating- we are a very short drive to marylhurst university, lewis and clark, and of course all the lake oswego school district as well.
CONVENIENT- we are on a safe, quiet cul-de-sac walking distance to one of the best local high end supermarkets (great deli and hot food section), pizza, thai food, dry cleaners and gas stations. we are also very close to 43/state st/ willamette dr which will take you directly to downtown portland or west linn, and also the 205 which will take you directly to wilsonville, etc...depending on your destination.
* very comfortable double bed and simply but nicely furnished room with closet. lots of light, private windows, and wood floors.
* side door entrance leading to kitchenette (sink, counter space, toaster oven, mini fridge/freezer, microwave), and table for two. laundry for your use while here.
* semi-private 3/4 bath not far from bedroom (we barely use it).
* coffee and tea provided. occasionally baked goodies or treats of some kind as well.
* we are up between 6:30-7am so you may hear us although we'll be considerate if you are still sleeping.
* furnace is in kitchenette/laundry and makes white nosie kicking on and off (in case you are very noise sensitive).
* no smoking or smokers (only due to smell).
* please be considerate after 7pm as my child (school age) is asleep.
* we have a very friendly and mellow german shepherd who will not be in your space as long as you don't allow her in. also, i keep our entire home clean of her hair and there is no dog smell. however, if you're highly allergic or don't like dogs it may not work for you.
* our laundry is in your kitchenette area but i only do laundry when you are out so as not to disturb you.

  • Great place and awesome support from Lily and friends. Would love to stay again in the future.

  • I found Lily to be a warm and welcoming person. Having to arrive late in the evening, she accommodated my circumstances so that I could easily come into the back of the house and into my clean, organized and comfortable accommodations.

Sleeping space quiet and the mattress and pillows comfy.
The kitchen area is bright and great to have your own mini frig, sink, microwave, tea maker, etc. Bathroom is in the house and immaculately clean with tile floor, excellent shower head and side yard to sit in the sunshine.

The bird songs were so wonderful to soothe me in the evening and to wake to!
Ms Zaga's neighborhood is beautiful, first class, and full of fragrant springtime flowers.

I did not expect Lily to be so generous and welcoming, offering directions, information about the area, transportation options from the airport, etc.

Easy to walk to downtown Lake Oswego, enjoy the park river and quality amenities of the unique community of Lake Oswego.
I highly recommend this bnb for a single person or couple.

  • Lily and the room were great! She was very accommodating of a last minute booking (a matter of hours prior to arrival) and was helpful and considerate throughout my stay. Side entrance allows for easy in and out without worry of disturbing anyone. Room is very nice, and the bed is super comfy. Two thumbs up!

  • Lily has a picture perfect house in a great neighborhood of Lake Oswego (an upscale suburb of Portland). Cool things about her house:
    -Outside entrance into the room/kitchenette
-Private feel to your space removed from rest of house (although bathroom is through the kitchen)
-Cool lodge feel to the bedroom, windows on 2 sides, lots of light, nice hardwood floors
-Plenty of places to hang your clothes
-House is walking distance to coffee and restaurants.

Although I never met Lily, communication was fast and direct about the stay and the room was perfect and all set up when I arrived.

I would definitely recommend her place!

  • Lily's place is wonderful! The room is clean, bright and cozy. Her kitchenette is very well stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Her street is a quiet, cute cul-de-sac and I heard no traffic or neighborhood noise at all. The private entrance is a plus. Her house and yard were clean and inviting. I am so thrilled I found her at the last minute! Thanks Lily for a wonderful place to relax! I loved it!

  • Our son Cole enjoyed his stay at Lily's while working in Portland on a summer internship. Her home is lovely and in close proximity to great shops, etc. Lily was very nice and welcoming. We appreciate her opening her home to our son!

I am originally from Los Angeles, spent my whole adult life in Seattle, and have recently moved to Lake Oswego, Or (just outside of Portland). I work part time as a hairstylist and am the mother of a (well behaved!) four year old boy. I enjoy traveling to all sorts of locations and staying at all kinds of accommodations. I'm very social but totally fine doing my own thing. Most importantly for this site, I am 100% "normal", honest, trustworthy and courteous as a guest!!!
