This Mexican Colonial house is a total beauty, lots of details to make you smile, the view from the terraces is enchanting and Michael [the owner] and Susana [the caretaker] really make it all so easy for you. Location couldn't be better -slightly off the center in a nice street. Fantastic option for big groups or families
Incredible place. Meticulously restored Spanish colonial gem. Everywhere you turn another incredible detail. Beautiful view of the incredible church, which is lit up at night (the church bells at night can be a bit noisy in the upstairs bedroom, but worth it). Michael, the owner, was helpful.
Only minor complaints, such as the Internet didn't work when we were there. Michael tried his best to fix it, but it did't happen before we left. And one of the showers wouldn't turn off. After a bit of a panic and calls, texts and emails, I found Michael, who despatched someone to fix it. A few other small things like that, to be expected in a 400-year old mansion.
But overall, a lovely experience, great location, a memorable place to stay!
La casa está impecable y la ubicación no puede ser mejor! Billy y Mike son excelentes huéspedes en todos los sentidos.
The house is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. A true colonial jewel in the very city centre of San Miguel, great Mexican decoration. We loved and enjoyed the terrace with full view to the parroquia. Susana treated us really excellent and made us feel at home, cooked for us every morning. We would definitely come back here.
The hacienda was truly beautiful and the photos did not do it justice. It was like living in a 17th century house but with all the modern amenities.
Suzanna, who served the five of us breakfast every day, made her salsa daily and it was superb. What a great way to start the day.
The owners were warm hosts, so very hospitable, and ready to help make our stay not only fun but stress free.
Being only two blocks from the center of San Miguel, the Jardin, meant we were able to use the plaza like the locals do, which means morning, noon and night.
San Miguel is a lovely, unspoiled historic city and living in the 1670 colonial house only made our experience that more unique.
We all highly recommend the hacienda and the gracious atmosphere that pervades inside and out, from the blooming bougainvillea to the views of the churches to the marvelous bells of San Miguel.
