About this listing
An entire floor + ensuite in new terraced house a stone's throw from Lime Street Station, Empire Theatre, St Georges Hall, Walker Art Gallery and much more in this exciting city.
Also on the doorstep are the football grounds; Liverpool & Everton.
Proximity to all major tourist attractions in the City Centre and the Mersey Waterfront , The Grand National at Aintree and other major events such (email hidden)rpool FC and Everton FC: book early please. Good accommodation in Liverpool is at a premium and quite hard to find at certain times of the year.
Of course you will have the run of the house with no other Guests (but me). if there is anything I can do to make your vacation even better, just ask.
Interaction with Guests
I can be as helpful and sociable as you need me to be. Simply do your own thing, its your holiday! But if I can assist in any way, tell me and if I can, I will.
The neighbourhood is a quiet new development, within a park and set back from Great Homer Street, a main artery into the City Centre, only 2 miles away. Great Homer Street is transformed every Saturday into "The Greaty", the centuries old Liverpool Street Market.
There is parking, should you require it and there is a regular local bus service to take you slap bang into the centre of the city. Takes about 15 minutes to walk into town, but if you would like to be chauffeur driven, Delta Taxis are reliable and very reasonably priced.
Other Things to Note
Looking forward to seeing you sometime this year. Warm regards, Andrew
I'm sure you will keep the place clean and tidy during your stay. Oh and unfortunately we can't accommodate pets.
We were looking forward to our first AirBbB experience, and our expectations were totally fulfilled. As soon as we stepped through the door, we were put at ease. Andrew was a gentleman, very friendly and welcoming and was extremely helpful and very accommodating throughout our stay. He was attentive to our every need.
We enjoyed some good chats and Andrew was always ready to advise us about places to visit and the sights to see. He advised us to use Delta taxis as they were cheaper than the bus (less than five pounds each way), and we did indeed find that they were the best bet to make the journey into the city, so didn’t have to worry about driving, and of course we didn’t have to pay for parking in the city. Andrew was always willing to phone the taxis for us too!
This was a ‘Bed and Breakfast’ arrangement, which was a bonus, as we hadn’t realised that a beautifully presented continental breakfast was included! We had sole use of the top floor of his lovely home, which could be shut off for privacy, and which included a large purpose-designed double bedroom, nicely decorated and cosily furnished, with wardrobe space, tea and coffee facilities, and a spacious shower-room with wash basin and loo. Towels, soap, clean drinking glasses in plastic, and bottled water were supplied, so this was more like a hotel than a B&B! Extremely comfortable. Andrew also provides plenty of tourist and visitor literature in the bedroom about Liverpool and its history.
The photos of Andrew's home on the AirBnB site are beautiful, and when we arrived, that is JUST how it is. Andrew clearly takes great pride in the presentation of his home. The house is in a quiet, safe little backwater, just off a main arterial route and within easy reach of the city centre, with a private parking space at the back of the house, reached through an archway or via the rear garden gate. We made the most of our stay, thanks to Andrew’s advice, and despite the weather we had a lovely time. It’s not often that you will find such a genial ‘host’ like Andrew, we are sure. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended!
Andrew went out of his way to make us feel very welcome in his lovely home. From the welcoming cup of tea, to his help finding our way round Liverpool.
I had a really nice stay at Andrew's place, although we stayed just for 2 nights, the host was friendly offering tips on things to do in Liverpool. Andrew is a great communicator and has a lot of knowledge about Liverpool. the bed was absolutely comfortable and the room was quite nice. Everything was as described in the listing. The apartment was beautiful and clean.
I booked Andrew's place for my parents as they were in Liverpool to attend my convo. Turned out, my parents really enjoyed their stay although it was only a short one, they immediately felt like at home as the space was very homey and comfortable not to mention Andrew was very accommodating as well! He was such a lovely host to my parents even made breakfast for them :) the guests room is in an attic which was absolutely lovely and cosy! definitely would recommend this place to anyone :D
Staying with Andrew might be one of the most unique experiences you'll ever have with airbnb. He was such an enthusiatic host - provided us a lot of helpful information about Liverpool that made it able for us to enjoy our stay to the fullest. The house is gorgeous, we really apreciated having a floor ourselves and our own bathroom. He even prepares wonderful breakfast with fresh berries and whatever you want. If we ever plan to visit Liverpool again, we'd definitely stay with Andrew!
Lovely man, very helpful.
House kept clean, neat and tidy by his lady that does, Pauline.
Andrew is a great host who is very knowledgable about the city of Liverpool and very welcoming to his home. Nothing is too much trouble for him and your comfort is his main concern while you stay at his home.
The house and room are spotlessly clean and remain so during your stay.
About the Host, Andrew
Single older man who is sociable (I'm told) and who enjoys sharing his house with others. Interests include theatre, eating out and of course people. With airbnb I have met a number of lovely interesting and delightful people from all corners of the Globe. Some have known exactly what they want of Liverpool, others have needed a little help or guidance. So, whichever one you are, I am happy to make your stay in this great city as easy and as memorable as I can. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
