Our sunny & airy bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, blackout shades, a private deck, AC/heat control, a great desk and a private bathroom. The neighborhood is super quiet and ultra-convenient to “downtown” East Hampton and Sag Harbor.
This room has a very comfortable queen-sized bed with luxurious high thread-count sheets. With its east and south facing windows, the room floods with sunlight during the day, has beautiful views of trees all around and has direct access to a lovely south-facing deck. The room has blackout shades, its own AC/heat control and a private en suite bathroom.
For full disclosure, the bed is a modern transitional couch (definitely not a typical pull-out sofa!) that becomes a queen bed. On top of the firm mattress base, we have a thick memory foam mattress covered in a pillow top case. It is super comfortable. In fact, our friend who was the first to sleep on it said he was going to go home and buy one for himself because it was so comfy!
The area is quiet and conveniently located a short 5 minute drive to "downtown" East Hampton and 10 minute drive to Sag Harbor.
A great bonus is that it’s just a few minute drive to a secluded and pristine bay beach as well as great hikes in the woods. We've got 2 kayaks waiting for you on the bay and an extra bike for your use.
The newly renovated house is clean and contemporary with bleached oak floors throughout, an open kitchen, modern fixtures, spacious decking, wifi, W/D - all of which you're welcome to enjoy.
Couple lives here year round with cat and small dog but we are very, very clean with our pets.
Also, if you're ever in need of 2 rooms, we also rent out another bedroom with a queen bed and its own bathroom as well. This one feature secluded woods views as well as a large en suite bathroom with 2 sinks and an over-sized shower.
Kitchen is available for breakfast. We feature a wide array of teas and coffee (from regular drip to espresso) and half & half, soy or almond milk. Availability of the kitchen for dinner varies but we are open to requests. We have 2 refrigerators so there is plenty of room to store your food. And we have a high-end water filtration system so you can drink to your hearts content and fill your water bottles for the beach. Guests may hang out on the deck or enjoy sitting by the fire.
We will be in the house during your stay. We are happy to chat, and offer suggestions for activities or restaurants. We're also happy to let you come and go as you please and enjoy your privacy.
My favorite things to do in our immediate neighborhood (without getting in a car) are:
- Walking along trails in the woods
- Sitting on the deck and reading
Within a 5-10 minute drive, there are many beautiful spots on the water - both the vast ocean beaches and the more serene bay beaches.
In the summer and fall, there are many farm stands featuring delicious local produce. And we know the local music scene well so can point you to places offering live music.
There is very limited public transportation. We have plenty of parking and recommend that guests who stay with us have a car. There are taxis available for short stays (i.e, 1 or maybe 2 nights) but that might be a hassle for a longer stay.
Cori was a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately, I had to cancel this visit due to inclement weather. She was kind enough to mention I might be able to carry the fees over to another stay/date, assuming the timing was right. I was never able to actually see the space but I can assure you, as a host, you won't be disappointed.
Cori was a great host--she wasn't home when we arrived, but she made it extremely easy to get into the home and find our room. When we met her, she was so friendly and welcoming. We were only there for one night so didn't spend much time at the home, but everything was in tip-top shape; the room was extremely clean, as was the bathroom. We would definitely stay again! Thanks, Cori.
What a treasure!!! I could not have asked for more. One takes a chance renting a room in a private home and you hope it will be just ok. But, this was more then ok...it was AWESOME. Clean room, clean bathroom and a beautiful home with very special owners. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Great location too. Quiet and peaceful. A Gem.
Cori was a great host! When we arrived she provided us with a list of great restaurants and directions to the beach. My boyfriend and I didn't want to stay in a junky over priced hotel in the Hamptons and Cori's house was a perfect alternative. Our room and bathroom was spotless and our bed was super comfortable. We were out and about the whole weekend and Cori made it easy for us to come in and out at our leisure. I would definitely stay here again.
Cori was a great host and the house was beautiful and very comfortable. Highly recommended!
Our stay was short, but very comfortable. Cori was very hospitable and we enjoyed the personal interaction. It is a great way also to obtain the best way to visit the beach, go for a walk or find good restaurants. Although only 2 days away from the city, we came back rested. Thanks, Cori!
Great place - just a few minutes from the main streets of Ea Hampton. Cori was helpful, communicative, easy to get a hold of and has an awesome dog.
Cori's house was amazing. She proved to be a wonderful and generous host. Definitely recommended.
Cori was a wonderful host. Her house is beautiful and very clean. She has a dog and a cat, but you would never know it. I am allergic to cats and I was completely fine. I would definitely stay with her again.
Cori was a wonderful host. Though our time spent with her was brief, we truly received quality hospitality. She's warm, easy going and helpful.
As we ventured out for our first day in the Hamptons/Montauk, Cori provided us with a map, explained points of interest, detailed places to eat, and walked us through an insider's route so we could explore in a less touristic fashion.
Her place is as great as it looks in pictures. We had our own bathroom in our bedroom, fresh towels, and a deck right outside our room.
It's a great base location to venture out to the Hamptons, Sag Harbor, Shelter Island, and Montauk. Definitely recommend renting a car once you're out there. Cori was even generous enough to drive with us to return our rental car down the road and give us a ride to the train station nearby.
It was certainly a nice stay. Definitely recommend it.
