Other major tourist attractions such as the Chiang Mai Zoo and Aquarium, and all the major shopping areas of Chiang Mai are only a short tuk-tuk ride away. Our 13 spacious rooms have been designed and decorated in Modern Thai Lanna style and WiFi is always available. We also have Mingmitr Coffee bar (Local favorite coffee in Chiang Mai) perfect for relaxing days.
Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff is so kind and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable! I would definitely recommend!
The room are very confortable. The staff is very nice.
I stayed at the Le Canal Boutique March 25th - 28th 2014. I really liked the stay there. Aum and her staff were super nice and helpful!!! Help me line up some tours and areas to visit around the city. The room was very clean and fresh. Location is decent. Little noisy form the traffic. Coffee shop attached to it is very good as well. I would stay here again!
Thanks for a great stay!
This place is amazing! Not only are the rooms comfy and the beds big(for Asia), but the staff is incredibly nice. Most staff speak good English, and were able to help suggest places to go. They really went above and beyond for our stay.
To elaborate, my friend got in a motorbike accident (no one else was involved, and yes it is as dangerous as everyone says). The staff helped us go to the right hospital where it only cost 1700 baht or about $50usd to get his shoulder x-rayed, pain medication, anti-inflammatory, and this was in a emergency room!! My friend is alright, and not seriously injured. Thanks to Aum and her wonderful staff we avoided a huge medical bill that could have ended our trip!
This place is located in a great spot with plenty of stuff close by. 7/11 is less than two blocks to the right when walking out of the place. Also there is a great morning market that sells amazing cheap food (ends at 9ish). I got sweet sticky rice every morning we were there. To get there walk across the street (Sri Poom Rd, pronounced Si Poom) and go through the north gate (an old stone wall that signifies "old town"). Follow road that goes straight away from north gate and Sri Poom. The market is less than 250ft on your left.
Our stay in Chiang Mai was made even more amazing by staying at this beautiful place! I would recommend to anyone/everyone.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Cool little boutique hotel in easy location. Jazz coop down the street was fun and make sure to try and go there on a Tuesday night.
Hotel was a little noisy, but definitely worth the savings and location.
As the other reviews say, the staff are very friendly, helpful and patient. Location is convenient for exploring the old town or getting a red songtaew to other parts, I enjoyed Nimman area. They have bicycles and motorbikes for rent and can help arrange tours etc.
I found the room, room 3, to be quite noisy because of traffic and people passing by on the staircase… having said that ear plugs are provided in the room and the mattress is comfortable.
The room is smaller than I expected, what I thought was the wardrobe door was the bathroom door, there is no wardrobe but a few hangers by the window. I had a big suitcase and could not really open it fully in the room.
Overall we had a great stay at Le Canal Boutique House. The rooms were clean and new and cleaned daily by the staff. Aum and the other workers at the front desk were incredibly kind and funny and answered all of our questions.
The traffic noise is loud, but I was able to drown it out easily and did not have trouble sleeping. If you are a very light sleeper than maybe a hotel on a side street in the old city might be a better option.
For breakfast go to Angel's Secrets or Bamboo Bee! Also the coffee shop and Le Canal is really good - we were there every day!
Air bnb was Out last opportunity to find an accommodation. And then I found this lovely boutique hotel locate in the old town of Chiangmai! We made the booking few hours ago but when we arrived everything was prepared! The rooms are like on the pictures very clean and modern! The staff is very friendly and helpful and uncomplicated! After an one week trip around the loop we came back and everything was settled and we had a warm welcome!
I definitely would come back to stay here!!
The team is super friendly and helpful!
The room is tastefully furnished and clean
roomkeeping is on daily basis and excellent
The boutique le Canal is well located and close to markets and restaurants super convenient.
Enjoy very much my stay
Nice, small hotel in good location for exploring the old town. We quickly got used to the sound of traffic. No garden to relax in but Very friendly staff.
